Those of us who take surveys are well aware that most surveys we try to take we don't qualify for because of various reasons. Although surveys pay well, a lot of time is wasted on these surveys we can't finish. Some of the survey companies seem to understand our frustration so they offer some sort of compensation even for those who don't qualify for a survey. Opinion Outpost seems to be the latest company to do this, though I can remember sometimes getting "partial credit" from them for a survey I couldn't complete in the past. Now, when you don't qualify for a survey, Opinion Outpost gives you three choices: you can try for an instant win cash prize, enter a sweepstakes, or donate to charity. Of course, it's tough to actually win any contest, but I appreciate it whenever a survey company recognizes that I'm spending my time on their surveys whether I ultimately qualify or not. This is a good gesture from the Outpost which has been one of my favorite survey companies for a long time. They're worth joining ( http://www.opinionoutpost.com ) if you are from the U.S. or Canada.

I think it just started the day I wrote the post...at least, I had never noticed it before So far I've been trying my hand at the instant win game with no success -- which option do you usually choose when you don't qualify for a survey now?

This is awesome! I love it. I usually pick the "Instant Win" option, although I feel slightly bad for not donating the 10 cents. I haven't won anything yet, but I think it's a great way for Opinion Outpost to kind-of "thank" their members for their continued perseverance. :)

I've been with OO for awhile and yeah you get that little deal at the end. My problem is that with ALL surveys lately...I do them for several minutes - up to 10 and answer question after question...and then am told I don't qualify! I was doing really well with quite a few survey sites for a while, now for the last few months I don't qualify on 9 out of 10 on all the sites I do!! Can't figure it out unless it is my age or demo location. But I keep at it!

I always seem to go through good and bad streaks on survey sites. There are months where I seem to be qualifying for all kinds of surveys -- even ones I probably shouldn't qualify for because they're not on topics I'm really interested in -- and there are "dry" months where I keep getting rejected and rejected again and again. While demographics can be important, I think there are also a lot of open surveys which have spots open for people from many different demographics. Companies may market aggressively towards particular demographics, but they do want as many people as possible to use their products and I would think they'd be interested in hearing from all kinds of potential customers when they're doing market research. One key seems to be to answer surveys as soon as you can before their quotas fill up. If you can't check your email constantly, that's really hard to do. I'm slowly learning though not to try to "catch up" on several days' worth of surveys...almost all of them that old are filled up or very difficult for new answerers to qualify for.

I do them as soon as I get them..pretty much. I am off and on the pC all day long. If I miss 2 days I will get that "all full" notice, but I take them within the day usually. I can't figure why I don't qualify for so many...OTX is another one - always did great, then nothing.
