My nokia 6070 fell off and in the process the damage seems to have been done to the software wherein the mobiles ringtones are no longer playing and the phone is on vibration only. I need the code to restore factory settings but cant find any on the net. Can you guide me where to find this code on the net.

I don't know much about it though I can say that I had a Nokia N72 one year back and it fell down accidentally.I took it took to the nearby nokia authorised showroom. The display and the battery connector damaged due to the fall.I too tried to fix it at first by restoring it to factory settings but to no avail. My friend said that if any damaga occur due to a fall or a strike then it is a physical damage and you need to change the damaged part,no use in trying to make corrections in the software. So I changed my display and connector. It cost me only 1500/-.I think you should take it to the service center so that any future hidden damage may be found out and rectified

i think you do one thing.first you switch it off. take out the sim and insert it once again. this solves 99 out of 100 problems. if not, then go to settings and select. the first is probably the tone settings. press the up arrow or button. it goes to restore factory settings and you can benefit from that. but remember, restoring factory settings removes all phonebook numbers and smses. so, try out and do let me know. bye and take care..
