Is it okay to name your kid anything you want?

That is a wonderful discussion. Parents become very enthusiastic and name the celebrity or an occasion of their prime time to name the child without thinking of the consequences twenty years later in that child's life where it will certainly be ridiculed for the odd name .One must name the child with a great responsibility. It is the child that is going to carry the name to the end. One must always consider the different implications a name can have on a child since the name is the character and soul of a person.

There are some regular names I hate yet alone unusual ones.I would hope parents would name their children something unique but not too strange. Ans hopefully a name easy to spell.

Well i think we should think how people called our child in the future yea , just like lampard yea , it is actually not a nice word in chinese yea .

I think people should think very hard about what they name their kids. I've heard some horrible names and feel so bad for the kids.

I agree! I am pregnant and i just squish up my face when someone suggests i name some of the names in my husband's family. They are real old fashioned names, one girl is named moza - in arabic that means banana! im like... WHAT?! So i researched the meaning of any possible name... he wants to name after his father Saud and if a girl Jomana... the boy's name is old but doesnt make me cringe as much as his other suggestions lol... My father did his uncle a favor... his uncle had a girl and named her banan... my father kept teasing them and saying where is the banana =P they changed her name =P she was only a few weeks old lol
