What Is Your Favorite Piano Piece?

My favorite classical piano piece is Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. I haven't tried playing it, but I sure will try soon enough when I buy that new keyboards.
My favorite modern piano piece is Zencho, by Gackt Camui. he wrote this when he was still the pianist and lead singer of Japanese band Malice Mizer.

Rhapsody in Blue!
Wherever I am when it is being played I burst into tears. My mother was a piano teacher in her younger years so as a child I was brought up hearing a lot of piano music being played by her, her pupils and friends. She would be doing the dusting and would stop every time she was dusting the piano and play something and many times it would be that piece. She also played the organ at the local church and I am drawn to organ music too.
No, stupidly I realise now, I did not learn. Being the eldest I was sort of 'pushed' into learning and when I broke my wrist and had it in plaster when I was about 8 I was thrilled because it meant I couldn't practice 
Now,sadly, all I can do is appreciate others playing but I cannot even though I wish I could.

The posistive side of this is that my sonmut have some of the musical side of my family in his blood. He started learning music at the age of 11 and turned to drums. He has played with and also formed several different bands. His lateast venture has just returned from the EMI studios in London where they mastered a CD. I am surrounded by music even now that I am almost a grandmother just the same as when I was child

my range of music goes from classical to jazz to big band to modern rock to christian rock to technologically generated music and within those venues all have piano greats. i love Fur Elise and many other classical selections as well as improv jazz on the piano and i also love billy joel - he does wonders with a piano!

I love the song piano man by Billy Joel and I recentley learned to play it that is now my favorite song.
