Forget for a moment about their violent tendencies. Between these two famous Philippine volcanoes, which one is more attractive to you? The mighty Mayon volcano, with its almost perfect cone or the "little" Taal volcano, which is uniquely nestled on a lake?

I have seen Mayon Volcano almost up close... and it was such a sight to behold... books were not kidding about the perfect cone... and i cannot imagine that such a beautiful sight could cause a lot of devastation... With Taal Volcano... i have yet to see its beauty... so right now... i cannot really judge which of the tow is the most attractive... but i am sure they are both magnificent in their own right...

That's right. But when you see Taal volcano, it's like looking at a painting on a canvass. You should try going to Tagaytay in the future.

I was fortunate enough to see both. Mayon volcano looks imposing even from afar. When I was at the Cagsawa ruins, I could sense both serenity and havoc all alluded to the famous volcano.

Well, I can't say much about the Mayon Volcano as I've only seen it on books. As for the Taal Volcano, I think it's a sight to behold because it's a like a lake within a lake and a volcano within a volcano. Also, you get to see it from above so it's really amazing.

I am more astonished by the Taal volcano. It could be mainly because of its rarity -- a volcano inside a previous volcano. =D

Definitely, the MAJESTIC MAYON, if you happen to see it, you'll not be amazed but you'll fall in love with its charm and beauty. Admired all over the world for it is the only volcano that has a perfect cone. We don't know until when it will be as majestic as it is now. When you see it during sunrise and the tip has little smoke on it, it's just really like a painting, an imagination. You can admire Mayon Volcano from different angles, from different sides. Taal Volcano is also a nice tourist destination because of the nice climate in that area. Tagaytay became famous because of it.

both are nice, but I have only been to Taal and they say that Taal volcano is the whole part where you drive and so on and that the lake is its cater and that little volcano in it is the one they volcano inside a volcano. weird huh
