i think that we can all agree that times now are way different than they use to be, and in the most noticeable way is that people are different now, like use to people would stop and ask how your day was and how you were doing and now it just seemsl ike they don't care and people today are really mean honestly, like i have heard i don't know how many stories about people who kill others and does things like that to each other, and i was just wondering what you thought was the biggest difference between people now and how things use to be? i would like to take this time to thank everyone for taking the time out of your day to come by and read and review my discussion and hopefully answering, and trying to help me, and i hope that you all have a great day and night tonight, thanks again for taking the time to stop by.

Think this has kind of been said here already but we have shorter attention spans. Less time on our hands because we are constantly bombarded with information now. There are way more sources for media (TV, Internet, cellular telephones, ipods, etc). It just seems like the more technologically advanced we become, the more inhuman we also become. We are way more desensitized to violence now too. It's like with all this info and technology, the world is becoming a much smaller place. And we are losing interest. Our values are placed on materialistic items rather than the more important things in life like family, morality, justice, our world government, common courtesy, etc. We are almost becoming robots with our everyday routines. Doesn't it seem like time is going by much faster these days? Like the day just isn't long enough to get everything you want to get done. I remember when i didn't feel so rushed all the time. There is just so much to do I almost wish these were simpler times again. I hope this makes sense but I thought this was a great post!!! Keep MyLotting!!

This article is saying exactly what I am. Thank you for posting that one. i am going to send that to a couple of people. I have been saying this since 1995 actually. But it just seemed like time has been flying by. I had a discussion about this with someone in the past and we came up with the same conclusions. This article validates my point very eloquently!

It definitely feels like time goes by much faster than it used to. I found this article about time speeding up very interesting: http://montalk.net/notes/time-speeding-up

People nowadays are likely to be too rely on Technology to help them work, study, and entertain. Honestly speaking, is people nowadays are lazier than before. I didn't say this because I hate Technology but the other way round. We do need them in this current day, but we can still do things ourself. People before are more likely healthier than now, why? Because they do things themselves. For example, we can wash our dishes by hand but some use the dish washer to wash their dishes. It is a simple chores but we seek comfort while working. I didn't it is wrong that way. But this apparently make us lazy and fat...Lazy make us fat and more lazy...So, whenever you have the chance to do it yourself...i mean manually...then try it...it is a lot different than using the machines.

It's not being lazy that makes us fat, it's our eating habits. Mostly sugar. If you never or hardly eat any sugar (and I'm talking about carbs with a high GI http://www.glycemicindex.com ) and not too much bad fats (trans fats are bad!! Better not to eat any at all. Saturated fats, we need some of that but too much is bad) then you can be as lazy as you want. You won't get fat. (You'll be weak though, because of lack of muscle).

Since the start of urbanization, the community spirit has been on the retreat. The trend still continues.

Today people have no time. That is the biggest problem. it is the root of all problems. No time means always in a rush and a rush causes stress and stress causes tmepers to flare. With higher life expectancy due to advance in medical scinece, one woudl think people have more time to do what they wish, yet they are in a hurry.

I think people think more for themselves nowadays. Society teaches us to live a certain way and slowly people are crawling out of the "box".

So, we lie and say "Good. My day was good. How was yours?" (sorry, didn't mean to hit 'post comment' just yet in my previous post, but somehow I did, lol.)

I think the biggest differences are the sizes of thier families and the lifetime
