Personally, I do not, and have not for over 20 yrs. I am a Christian and our Church as a whole instead of allowing the kids to go Trick or Treating, etc. does a Harvest party instead. Tonight they are going as far as having a Potluck, and games, etc. as well. We are just doing a Country Western type theme, and everyone was asked to bring Candy as well for the kids to take home as well. My husband and I are bringing Potato Salad and Shake N Bake BBQ'd wings. It should be a lot of Fun for sure. So, do you still Celebrate Halloween, or feel it is not a day to Celebrate for religious reasons, etc. and did you do anything special as well? ~~TINA~~

I love Halloween, its such a fun holiday. I had a good time. I got to take my 3 year old grandson out trick or treating. He was dressed up as Elmo, I went dressed up as Santa Claus. He wore me out, he kept telling me, just a couple of more houses gramma. He had a good time, I did too. We just went around the neighborhood. He said trick or treat, I said Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas.

My family does not celebrate Halloween. Instead we may go to the movies, hve a moviethon at home, play board games, or something else to pass the time. My Church hosts a Harvest Festival too, but my brothers and I do not go to events like that aanymore. My daughter is too young to go. She is 7 months old. she wouldn't understand.

Yes, I do. At least, I would if my landlord allowed trick-or-treaters to come. I'm excited to move into my new apartment (I hope) in Northampton where we will be allowed to have trick-or-treaters and I can decorate my door. I could do that here too but what would be the point? I'm a person of faith too and really don't think it's that big of a deal for people to celebrate Halloween. I always did when I was a kid and my kids will too if they want to. My church even had a Halloween party for its younger members.

we attend a baptist church and have done that in the past but this year, our church's youth group (which our daughters attend) went trick or treating for kids that cannot (ie in the hospital) which is fine. in the past, with handing out candy, i have handed out a tract as well with it. why not use the day to spread the Gospel???

Here in the UK, Halloween isn't so popular, we do get the odd trick or treaters come round but usually it's no more than one knock in the evening and that's from the neighbour! I have never celebrated it, even as a child I never acknowledged it, I think I dressed up once but that was only because we had a Halloween night at the cub group I belonged to and I just used a sheet to cut holes in to be a ghost. I never went trick or treating, not that many kids in my school did anyhow, it's no big deal.

Yes we do celebrate halloween where I live. When my kids were young I took them out trick or treating they all loved it. My kids had all kinds of candy. Now they are all grown up and they take there kids out. I stay at home and give out candy to all the ones that come to my house. I had only 20 kids this year that came to my door. It was a fun time for the kids and even myself.

My Mom's church does the same thing, actually. I've no issues with halloween, and actually I have religious reasons to celebrate it...rather than to not celebrate it -- but then I'm weird ^_^

We do celebrate Halloween. Last night we first took my daughter to the church were she plays basketball. They had trunk and treats for the kids. WE went trunk to trunk in the parking lot and they had the trunks all decorated and each one gave the kids a treat. Then we went inside for games. It was a great event for the kids. After this, we went to my sisters house for appetizers. I took my daughter up and down her street, then back to have snacks with the family.

i do not partake in this i am a christian but i am not religious christianity is not about religion it is about a relationship with jesus christ many people label it as religion but it isn't its about a personal walk a relationship with jesus christ but to me the day is satans ween to me the devil don't deserve to be hallowed only jesus does and we do a hallelujah night at church where the kids come and play games and we give them treats at church and if any outside kids come we let them come here and hear the word to we use it as a witnessing time like any other time in jesus name we must be witnesses and show the light and love of outr lord and savor jesus christ at all times!!!!!

We have no religious objection to celebration of Halloween. We took our daughter and niece and nephew out. They had a wonderful time. I like the idea of a Harvest Party. Sounds festive.

i do because i have a child and he loves it. i loved it when i was a kid too. once he is grown i won't have much use for it as i find the whole process annoying of people ringing your doorbell all night and when you run out of candy and do not answer anymore they sometimes get nasty. before i had my son we used to just go out to avoid the whole thing but now it has meaning because he enjoys it so much.

Hi There. Well, we don't really celebrate Halloween like you do in states. Every halloween, we usually visit our relatives who passed away in the cemetery. We usually stay there for a day. At home, parents would cook some food to bring in the cemetery for us to eat. My siblings loves to roam around in the cemetery lolz.. and get themselves scared... hahaha.. Happy Mylotting! Cheers!

I have never experienced such, for the reason that my neighborhood does not practiced it. although I think it would be fun, it would simply bring out the child in us.
