we also do that here in my country. its all just a saying but we still do that until now. the old one taught us that. theres no harm in trying you know.

I thought it was true then. Well, Filipinos believed so. I stopped doing that when I entered High school.

I see you're also from the Philippines. I assume that you are talking about the tradition of Filipinos during New Year's Eve. Yup I do jump at 12 midnight but I do it just for fun. I never believed that I will grow taller if I do that.

We also do that! Of course, I'm also from the Philippines. I never understood why we do that though. Some of my relatives say it's good luck while others say you'll grow taller if you do. I don't really know why but what I do know is that it's fun to jump around and make lots of noise.
