I know a lot of text addicts who text while walking, crossing the streets, doing their work, etc. Personally, are you a text addict? What are your views to text addicts?

I'm not because I am not fond of having textmates. Also because I don't have the time or the effort to send my contacts messages. Besides, I only have one person that I constantly text to, well that's my boyfriend. I just spent 5 text messages per day because mostly I call him or he calls me. I am more on calls because I am too lazy to write long messages. ^^,

I am not... never was... and never will be a text addict... even when texting became popular... i was not one of those who would text till they drop... i am more of a call person... since i prefer to call rather than text... yes... they may say that that is more expensive... but at least i get to relay my message efficiently and effectively...

i love texting but i am not really a text addict. i usually text when im at home when im at school doing nothing. i just love to keep in touch with my friends whenever i am registered to unlimited texting. texting is my way of relieving my stress and trying to forget my problems and worries. for me, it is hard to let go of your habit when you already become a text addict. i think they just have lots of textmates to care for thats why they are like that. lol

i was a text addict when i was younger but not anymore. if you have a textmates who're so persistent in texting you, you'd probably end up doing the same way. there really are people, who even though they are prepaid users, never ran out of load and so they are able to send text messages every minute of the day. it worsens when the network started promoting their unlimited service offers. the young ones especially, since then, used text messaging as if they are chatting online. they send even a one letter text message such as "K". well, good luck to them. and please be careful. it will be, at most, embarrassing to star in a news about getting an accident while texting.^_^

No, I am not actually. I do text from time to time but I would rather call especially when we're talking something important. With text you cant understand some and you need to keep asking for more. When you call, you can talk everything for 2 minutes or so.

I am not addicted to text messaging as I have no friends to text that much, don't like socialization and I am not good on texting and word shortcuts, if I do forward a text message it would take some ime before I finish it and it is better that I call to make it easier for me and the receiever

Well, I'm not a text addict since I don't regularly load my cellphone with credits. Also, I only use my phone for important things like schedules and meetings.. I don't use it for socializing and stuff.

Well, first of all, I just saw an episode on Dr Phil about texting and driving. It has been the cause of many many accidents. Anyway, to your question. I don't have anything against it. I have a cell phone that is capable of it, but I don't do it. I never have. I use my cell phone for one reason: to make calls if I need to. I have consumer cellular which offers $10.00 a month with no free minutes. I don't need free minutes because sometimes I go an entire month without using my phone once.

i am not text addict. i hate cellphone in a little way because it can disturb me. my friends always felt bad about me because i occasionally replied text messages. i prefer to call me if it is needed, if you don't have important messages for me, better not to text me because i won't reply it.

I am not a "text-addict", I may be fond of texting but only when I have the time and if it's really important to text. Not into forwarding messages also and not into sending text or group sending with just plain hi's, hello's, good morning etc... I have nothing with those who call themselves as "text-addicts", I have seen people like that, usually they are the people with "No work", have nothing to do or bored, not into creative sides, or maybe just into "building friends network through texting". I love to receive nice quotes and forwarded messages, but if it's a repetition of several old text, it's sometimes very annoying.

well, i used to be a "text-addict" especially when those unlimited texting promos were launched. i am fond of forwarding text messages like quotes and jokes. i also like greeting my friends and giving my regards to them. but, when i got married, resigned from my job and just stayed home, i never get to text everyday anymore because there are alot of alternatives available like the internet and landline telephone. but i kind of miss being a "text-aholic."

No, I am not a text addict. I only use my cellphone if I need to and I don't look for text mates. It is because I don't have time to do so and due to some budget constraints. I guess those text addicts chose to be text addicts because they have spare time to text and have enough money to buy cellphone load. There's nothing bad about it, just make sure that they will rest their cellphones and fingers for a while.
