Why did Obama need that infomercial?

After all, he's got his own channel. I've never even heard of a presidential candidate that used up an ENTIRE CHANNEL to get his message out. It's a 24/7 reply of a bunch of ads that talk about how great he is. "Obama's plan for America" it's titled. Don't get me wrong - the man has a right to campaign however he wants, but he has his own channel and he still needs to suck up air time for an infomercial? I will be so glad when the elections are finally over. Anyone else tired of the campaign ads from one or both candidates?

I am tired of all the commericals, phone calls, volunteers knocking on my door, and not being able to walk out my front door without someone bugging me about my vote. I am soooo done with this whole thing.

Except for the commercials there hasn't been much said around here. I did get an application for a mail in vote from the democratic party that I threw away because I had already sent for one. Can't say I've even seen much in the way of political lawn decor around here.

The channel is on Dish Network. Most people don't have satellite TV, and Dish Network isn't even the only satellite network. The 'infomercial' was on broadcast networks that everyone gets. Understand now?

I already understood that. The point was to piss and moan about annoying campaign tactics - thus the last sentence of the post.

Well, a dedicated channel and an 'infomercial' that's as easy to avoid as any normal television program aren't exactly the hardest things to avoid when it comes to campaigning. I get you--I get burned out sometimes too. But it's just a few more days, and kudos to Obama for going full throttle all the way through the finish line.
