out it is much more expensive? I was a store yesterday and had a craving for a pepsi, the price at the store was $1.49, I put it in my basket. Then I thought I could probably buy it cheaper at another store and put it back. Well, when I stopped in the other store this morning the price for the pepsi was $2.25, WOW. a .76 difference. Have you ever done that, thought you could get something cheaper only to find out it was much more than you thought?

Yes its happened a lot, especially with food yeah. i had prior knowledge that cream cheese at a store cost whatever it did. Then we went to a different supermarket that generally has great prices, to find it was like 40 cents or so more for the same product. That's the most recent I can think of. I hate when we didn't know, then FIND out its that way. We went to buy some converter boxes at Best Buy but stopped by walmart for something else and they were ~10 dollars cheaper.

You are right, then in hindsight we say we should have gotten it the first time. You did not have a coupon for your converter box?

Oh no we did. It was 40 dollars off. So say one stay had it $60 each, it would've been $20 each.. but another had it for $50 dollars each... It'd have been just $10 each. So we had to pay a bit.

Okay, I see, I have applied for the box for my son. I saw a website that will not charge you anthing if you have coupone. I did not read all of the fine print, but when I get my coupon, I will see if there are any hidden charges.

Yeah, hindsight makes you think you should have bought it when you saw it. You have a nice day as well.

I used to listen to all these people talking about how much cheaper this store and that store were, so I tried shopping at the store that both of my older daughters like to shop at. I ended up spending a lot more money. The things I buy on a regular basis are cheaper at the smaller store near my house than the big box store across town. I looked for something in a Dollar Store thinking it would be cheaper than at my local grocery store right across the street. I was wrong again. The grocery store was cheaper. Unless I'm going to take all the sales papers and just hit the sales, I don't even bother trying to shop around any more. Gas is too expensive and I usually end like you said, paying more because I thought it would be cheaper somewhere else.

Yeah, some of these dollars stores are not always a dollar. There was one near my house that was really good. the last time I was in there the prices had changed, so I think it is best to buy what you need where you are, because shopping around sometimes can become costly.

With this kind of thinking (I can get it somewhere cheaper), you'll never ever buy something in your life. I always thought that way too but I've given up for the sake of my sanity. I think gas is cheaper way over there, why don't I go there? If I don't like the price, then I go to another one across town to see if indeed gas is cheaper there. Same with groceries. So I just had to let go. With gadgets, I think to compare prices online. But this is a decision that one can sleep on, buying Pepsi at the store does not really warrant comparing prices online.

I used pepsi as an example, because I thought I could get it cheaper at a store that is within walking distance. I did no use any gas. I do not drive from store to store for bargains because of the gas I would be using.

I've found this happens on eBay sometimes. It is important to check the shipping charges because this is included in the actual amount you will pay. You might find something that costs much less than in a store, but will actually cost you more because of the shipping. I also suspect that some people offer their items at a much lower price and then jack up the shipping to make up the difference. I once saw an item that was located in the next town from me. The shipping was outrageous! It would have cost less to drive there and pick it up. You can find some really awesome prices on eBay. Sometimes you get a great bargain, and sometimes you get taken by the shipping charges. I have also seen items on eBay that are being sold for MORE than the would cost if you bought it from a store. Add shipping and it is a rip off, in my opinion. Of course, if you live in an area where the item you want is unavailable, if you really want it you will pay extra for it.

Yeah, ebay shipping costs are sometimes off the hook. My husband used to do ebay, and we lost a lot of money because he was not charging the actual shipping costs. Sometimes you see an item selling for .99, and the shipping is seven dollars or so.

Compared with each other is often to me.And I will choose the cheaper one if I have enough time and don't want to buy urge. But,the common living things are similar price I think. So ,it's not neccesary to compare too much.HEhe .Have a good day.

Yeah, I have. Now I'm feeling bitter again for it. What a waste. :( No one to blame anyway.
