Will riots follow this year's election?

I wouldn't doubt it - there seems to be a lot of radicals on both sides of the fence this year. I think you might see minorities rioting if Obama doesn't get elected and I think you might seem the white supremist type rioting if he does.

That also could happen. I have heard that there are special military troops assigned here in the states for the next several months in case something should occur.

I have my concerns since this election has been like no other in my life. It seems to be radicals on both sides.
I am just glad that school is out that day and I have already voted! I will be in the comforts of my home with my child. I am praying that we as a country are able to accept whoever wins and move on with life.

Very true. What about minorities rioting when he does win? Like in Philadelphia for example when they recently won the world series. There was rioting out of extreme happiness. Is this a possibility?

I have, but I don't believe it's likely for something political.
It's more likely for people to riot, over...say...food, orrr...on the White House lawn because they're homeless.
I don't expect that to happen this year, though.

Very true. I thought we were soon to see riots over gas prices a month ago, but that never happened.

I saw protests, followed by arrests at Gas Stations over the summer -- kept a newspaper clipping about it too.

I hope not but it would not surprise me. If Obama looses his supporters may not take it well. But then if he wins they may do it out of extreme joy.
Or the stupid people who will be upset because of Obama's skin color but I think those will be few and not wide spread.I do not really see McCain people rioting either way.
Kinda makes you wonder why people get sooo wrapped up in it though. Riots out of fustration or happiness over an election does not make sense to me. What would it accomplish?

I believe that both candidates should be enforcing to all of their supporters that no matter who wins or loses, that is no reason for rioting or violence or misconduct of any kind.
