The jumbo has retired! What a loss to indian cricket! The one man in the indian team who never gave up! Too many records..the tail cleaner! We will miss you, jumbo! May you have a great life off the game! Its been a great pleasure watching you play and win games for india

yes it is a big loss to indian cricket. a big name from the team is gone. his contribution to the team is great and also he is a great player. but i think he timed his retirement at a very good time. he was running through a dry patch and the indian selectors would have dropped him. any ways he would not be playing the nagpur test as he had stitches. now after that after that his captaincy might have been taken and he would have been dropped like saurav ganguly. and he took the best decision. he retired as the captian of the indian team.
