Do you hate the time change?

I can't stand the time change. It was great when I was younger and it meant an hour extra bar time, or an hour extra sleep. Now it just means that my kids will wake up at their usual time, only instead of 6am it'll be 5am. No fault of theirs, they don't know. I tried to go to bed an hour earlier last night, but it didn't work. I realize I am really not missing out on anything. It just seems to make my days extra long until my kids adjust to the "new schedule".

In UK I can see no point in chaanging anymore. We should be on the same time zone as the rest of Europe. It causes unnecessary hasssle for no good reason. The only difference is around Christmas for a few weeks, this is nuts. We should all stay on GMT+1 for the whole year - our summer time.

I do hate the time change and I wish it would be voted out. It doesn't even make any sense. Now we get an extra hour of sleep, but when I get off work it is dark already. When it's dark already, you don't want to do anything productive and then it's just a waste. Who thought it would be a great idea to wake up when it's light outside, but then get off work in the dark? It seems like in the winter we should get up an hour earlier, and then we'd have an extra hour of daylight to do something with. Rather than less daylight. I think it would be better if the whole thing was just done away with.

I heard somewhere that this was going to be the last year for it, something about saving energy. I'll have to check into it and see if I was right. But in the meantime it's just hell getting my kids on their "normal" schedule. My three year old wants to go to bed at 6:30pm, and get up around 5am.

i do because even though its sposed to save money or whatever the government says, it is very hard on my body. it takes a few days for me to get used to the time change and i walk around tired for those days. i think i will move to saskatchewan (canada) where they dont do the time change.

I think it was Arizona or Nevada too where they don't do the time change. I don't get how the time change saves money. Before I came home from work and didn't have to turn on the lights for an hour. Now my lights are always on.

I do not like the fact that it gets dark by 5:00 now. It is rather depressing! Some people go to work in the dark and come home in the dark. UGH! I don't know why we continue to have daylight savings time. What does it truly save? PEACE

Seriously! We're certainly not saving daylight... unless by saving it they mean we never get to see any of it.

Why do you have to change the time? Is there the summer time and winter time? What for? I am sorry I do not know the reason, could you please explain that to me?

I hate it very much. It's just that I'm used to my usual routine and then suddenly time changes. I can't adjust easily with the change. It's really hard for me to cope to another routine.

yeah i don't really like the time change either to tell you the truth... It's just more of a frustration for me since i don't have kids or anything yet, but honestly i really don't want to bother changing all of my clocks, and like i forgot to change the coffee pot, and i like to pre-set coffee for Stu so that when he gets up for work or when he gets home, whenever i wouldn't be around, he'd have coffee made and wouldn't have to worry about it... anyway i forgot to re-set it and the stupid thing was off by the time he got to it... i mean it's not that important but damn... that and it's confusing when you don't wake up to an alarm, you have to set your body all different again.... hows things?

Yes I do!! Yes yes yes yes!! I hate it!! It takes my mom and I about two weeks to get used to it but in the meantime, we struggle. Darn politians and their golfing!! They do this so they can have an extra hour to go golfing in the summer - to get that extra hour. I hope it screws up them as it does us!

I personally do not like sun going down at 5pm because I already have a hard time getting out of the house with the kids. Often its going in circles getting them dressed and then changing them after they eat then starting over to getting to the door and having to go back and change a diaper because one had one too many sippies, oops, heck some days it takes me to 2pm to get out and people have been at their jobs working for hours by then. Im a homemaker but it still sucks because I do feel the time constraints because cant take the babies to the park taking my time like in the summer. And just because it gets dark early doesnt mean a thing because those two babies still need their run around time or they get fiesty!

I use to really hate the time change but, this year I really liked it still being light at trick or treating. My youngest has a hard time with the time change but it doesn't bother the other two. One will sleep until the sun comes up whatever time that may be and the other one will sleep until I go in and wake him up.

hi friends normally the time change is used for to make one extra hour for working or here in Pakistan for to make the offices open early and to give more and more benefit to the people. But i hate it because it is also apply for school and colleges and that thing which is disturb me a lot . to early to rise and Prepare yourself for college. But if it seen wisely it is more benefit and less inconvenience for me. Happy Mylotting Prince SAd

I always hate it and it is stupid they should just leave it alone and get their behind up an hour early rather than cause all sorts of body rythem malfunctions and even more sleep disorders. Cows on dairys don't know the time springs forward or falls back and it is a stupid thing man invented.
