Last 3 days ago I was waiting for my daughter at her bus stop. While I was waiting another school bus from our district blew through a 3-way stop. There were kids on the bus. And it didn't even slow down. Well, I called the transportation department, and gave the number of the bus and what had just happened. I would want someone to call if my kids driver was so irresponsible. Some people have said they wouldn't have called.

I would have called in and I would also follow up on it to see what is done to that driver! I have chased down a semi to get the license plate number and the number on back of the truck asking how his driving was and reported him and called til he got fired! I had my grandbaby with me and 2 of my children when this semi rode my rearend and I mean rode it. I couldnt even pull off when I finally did I was so scared and pissed as he just missed the back of my van. So I got back on the rode and caught up and had my daughter write down the info and turned him in and then called and checked to see what happened. I also had a direct TV van pull right out in front of me from a side road with a stop sign. I called on him too. Luckily those have been the only brushes with jerks that dont pay attention or dont follow the laws. The real lucky thing is that noone was hurt.

Above anything else, I would make that phone call. Safety of our children is THE priority and if I find out that that bus driver was my kids' bus driver, I would tell him and remind him of how I trust my children with him.

I would have made the call. If it was my kid on that bus, I would be upset if someone had seen it and not called it in. Anything could have happened after the bus driver ran that stops sign. The bus driver is lucky nothing happened. They might not be so lucky next time.

You did the right thing! I would have done it. Careless doesnt pay when a life is involved. As a mother... To anyone out there please get involved call just think you might not have a child but your friend, or neighbor might have a child on that bus.

No telling how many times this bus had endangered these kids lives doing this. I am with you all the way on this something needed to be done or the driver would just keep doing it and maybe one day he wouldn't be so lucky or the kids and the people he wrecks because of his irresponsible driving. I say good for you..

I would have called and I believe you did the right thing. Anyone who is in a position that involves children needs to be extra cautious with their actions. This is a given and there is no doubt about it and no exceptions should be made. That bus driver had kids on their bus and was a driver for the school district. Not stopping at an intersection is a big deal and it has the potential to be a very dangerous and deadly situation. I wouldn’t worry about what anyone else thinks. You did what was right. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t call and that same bus driver later got into another accident.

I most definitely would have made that call too. There were kids on the bus!!!! Full stop. If my own children were sitting on a bus with a driver like that then I hope to God someone would do what you did!

i would have called right away! not only is that reckless endangerment of children but the size of a school bus would probably kill everybody in the car it COULD have hit! that driver should be fired on the spot! its bad enough you hear about true accidents involving school buses an children getting hurt, but to have a driver just being utterly careless..or worse..intentionally reckless, is beyond belief! ive seen a couple school buses just flying down the freeway too! the Greyhound buses do like 80mph..and i dont like it, but a school bus?!

Of course I would have called. Yesterday as I was driving to work, a school bus ran a red light. I know about the amber light turning to red thing, but this had already changed to red. I couldn't get the bus number or license plate. I know there are opponents of the cameras at intersections they want to install, but it would be a good way to confirm violations.

Hrm.. I think calling is the right thing to do. Kids have to be kept safe. The buss driver should know better. Hopefully, they drive better knowing they may be watched.

I would have definately called. It is our responsibility to call if we see that there is someone that might be endangering our children. I mean what if that bus had hit someone or some thing and killed some of those kids? It was a good call and I am glad that there are parents that care.

I would have called, without a doubt. They not only endangered the lives of the children on the bus, but the lives of any innocent bystanders as well!! Kudos to you!!!

I don't have kids yet but definitely, I would have made that call. Everyone should stop at these signs. No one is exempted unless it's an emergency. The bus should've stopped especially because it's carrying human life in there, the kids. It's good that you called. The driver may have a good excuse or not. It's good that it's on record so it could be checked out and remedied.

I was teh Principal of a school and always appreciated if someone rang up and informed that one of the bus driers was driving rashly and my children wer in danger of meeting with an accident. I would thank the caller and haul up the drivers so that they do nto repeat the mistake in future. A call froma caller cansafe a bad accident in the future si ti is better that a person calls. You did the right thing.

Hi there!!!! I will probably do the same thing. Any irresponsible action are not right, for them to straighten that things up is for an responsible person, like you, to give an action on it. And Im giving you two thumbs up for that. Sometimes we are so busy that we dont have time to do such things. But the thing is if we dont do such action on that, people will keep on doing the same old bad habits. Have a nice day.........
