Dhaka-The city of Cycle Rickshaws

In Dhaka city,the capital of Bangladesh the main transport is three whiler cycle rickshaw. The driver pull the rickshaw by pedling the chain connected to the backside two wheels.Two passangers can seat on a rickshaw. Thousands of cycle rickshaws play in the city streets.The slow motion vehicle make traffic jam in the city streets.To pool a rickshaw is a hard working job.But there is little opportunity of other jobs for the poor city dwellers.There are about one and half lakhs such rickshaws in the city. The population of Dhaka city is more than one crore.Most of the rickshaw pullars come from the country side. Most of them are landless peasants.
