I got one the other day and it said it was advertised on Oprah (don't know if it's true) it said mail 1 dollar to 6 people and then buy a mailing list of 200.00 & earn 800,000. Has anyone ever tryed this? Have you made money? Is it really legal? It sure is tempting but I don't wanna be out any money to receive none.

I know lots of people who have tried that but haven't gotten any money in return. The claims they make about the amount of money you can earn are mathematically impossible if you really analyze it. If you do participate and you do get money back, chances are you would have spent more on postage to send it all out then you would be getting back. So I wouldn't recommend this chain letter.

Thanks yah I was figuring as much as well. Postage, cost of copies, mailing list etc. I doubt it was really on Oprah.

I have received chain letters from friends and a couple of them asked either for a dollar, recipe, kitchen towel, or a child's book. The only time I received anything was when I sent a recipe.
