Black Friday

Last year more than 147 million people hit the sales the weekend after Thanksgiving (14% of those people hit the stores before 4 AM to wait in line) and each spent an average of $347.
Were you one of those people? Do you plan on shopping again this year?

I was one of those people last year to hit up the stores on Black Friday. We usually only get there no earlier than 20 minutes or so before the sales start that way we can at least find out where the items are that we want and can position ourselves so we can be sure to get there to get the items that we want. We never go to the really large stores so we never have to deal with huge crowds, but we still do have to deal with a bit of a crowd.

I can never understand how people can wake up at 3:00 am to go stand in line just so they can shop wow... I worked at a mall for over a year for 2 different stores, and it just amaze me how people can do that... I'm not a morning person and i can barely get out of bed in the morning at 8:30 am to go to work at my job now... So i could never be able to do that... But i want to try that one day to see what people get out of it... But for this year I am going back to one of my old job (NY &Co) and i will be working there probably on Black Friday at night... but i have work in the morning in the office, so there is no way i can do that this year and be able to stay up at work... But I bow down to you all who wake up so early to be there even before the employees get to work. I mean WOW i am amazed

I can say I was not one of those people, I was at home that day with my sons since they were off school. I would not want to be out shopping with so many other people out like that.

I didn't shop on Black Friday last year, but I usually do and I intend to shop this year. I'm not one of those shoppers that is at the store at 3 in the morning though. I will usally headout at about 9 or 10. Although I miss the early bid specials, I still get a lot of great deals with a lot less of the hassle.

Yes, I am one of those people. I am the one standing in the parking lot of walmart waiting for the doors to open:) I think I spent way more that $347 on that day though.

yes I was one of those that availed the black Friday sale. but I didnt spend for electronics, I just bought guess watch and some stuff from bath and body shop.
i am not planning to do that again, i am trying to save some money.
