My sister's triplets will be sixteen years old this month. They have been on the honor roll since at least seventh grade. They work very hard and are well disciplined. The only boy is taking and failing a trigonometry class this year. He was getting fails on all of his test, even though he was trying as hard as he could.
My brother-in-law called the teacher several times to try and find out what he needed to get his grades up. The teacher was not very sympathetic to the situation, but he finally said that if my nephew got an "A" on the next two papers, he would give him a "C" for the class. He failed the next test. Finally, they were getting desperate, so my brother-in-law went to talk to the school counselor.
As it turns out, not only were other parents complaining about the teacher, but 85% of the class was failing. So they have decided that the children who are failing and want to take the class again, will be able to. The grade that they have now will not count. My sister says that it sounds as though they will be getting rid of that teacher.
I am totally over-joyed that this worked out. It would completely tare me up to see the girls make it and their brother be left out. I can not wait until they graduate. I am a very proud auntie. I will be there taking pictures like there is no tomorrow. They are such great kids.

I am glad that your brother-in-law got things figures out for your nephew. That is ashame that some teachers treat their students this way. I hope that the school sees this and gets rid of this teacher. I am glad that he is able to re-take the exam that is a blessing.
