How does a laser printer differ from an inkjet one?

The laser printers have a higher resolution and so they have better print quality. Inkjet printers have a lower resolution because they create images by spitting out tiny droplets of ink. And on examining a printed page, you will notice that the one printed on a laser printer has smoother edges to the fonts than the one printed on an inkjet one.

I agree with you, when we were printing out envelopes for our wedding invitations, we wasted several envelopes because we initially used an inkjet printer and most of the printouts have smudges. Good thing we were to use a laser printer, the text looked finer and you save more using the laser power when printing in bulk
