What type of boots are really the trend or the most popular in 08-09?

In Uk its gonna be a pair of flat, knee length riding boot styles. For girls i mean. Get a softer leather pair so you can slouch them down. I already have my grey ones and i'm gonna get some black, Great over jeans or with mini skirts/dresses and tights. Also Ugg boots are still really popular but only with trash lookin girls I think.
