The flower is named after its European discoverer Thomas Stamford Raffles. First discovered in Sumatra in 1818, twenty Rafflesia species have been found so far in different parts of Southeast Asia. Many of the species are extremely rare, and have been recorded from only a handful of localities.The biggest flower in the world can be found at sibalom,Antique.

Oh that one I've seen featured in of GMA shows. I can't remember what show is that but it was some two months ago. I was really amused to see how big that flower could be! Ha!ha!ha! I'm quite scared actually, I don't find it lovely anymore. I would not want my hubby to give me such kind of flower. Ha!ha!ha! I also heard from the news that the scent is terrible and not good.

flowers are the cutest and smileys part of life. i coudl see the new variety of flower from your photo and well i could not able to say which flower is better as i could see two in your photo attached lol.

Yes I am pretty curios seeing one but they say that the flower really stinks rather than normal flowers which is supposed to be good smelling. I only saw one at the pictures and have not seen one real live one.

That's just wonderful to know that the world's biggest flower can be found here in our country. I wish I could visit the place and see the flower myself, it's truly an amazement!

I've seen that flower in TV Patrol once when it was discovered and found in Antique. Such a big flower but said that it has a strong odor. Lucky for those people who have seen it personally, for this flowers are extremely rare and not to be found anywhere. Hmmm I was thinking to give one Rafflesia flower to my lady hehe. Have a nice day..
