Is MLM a scam?

They call it the new way of doing business in the 21st century, and have been endorsed by Gurus like Robert Kyiosaki, Donald Trump and many people. In Network Market as they say is one way to become rich by just starting with as little amount as $400, to become a millionaire. In this industries alot of people have tried it and many have failed while few have seen success. Robert Kyiosaki says that this business is for two purpose help others to make wealth and you will achieve success with it, but those who failed in this business says that it is a scam.
Some reasons that you can get in MLM area
1. Ability to be financially free
2. Time freedom
3. Meet new people and make friends
4. Ability to travel round the world doing this business since you are not bound to be at one place.
The greatest assets they says is that you become a business owner. Do you think that it is a good approach to doing business.

I don't think that all MLM is scams, but personally for me, MLM is not a good way to earn money. I don't like the system, since it required people to pay you some money before earning money and that's so funny. People wanted to earn money, not spending it for something they don't need. Especially there is a big MLM scam in my country. From 1000 members there could be only one who really get the passive income.
Actually for me, I think making money online is so much better than MLM. You would have all what you have mentioned above, but you don't have to ask people to be your referral.

Why do say it is bad method of doing business, if you compared it mylot you still going to earn from other effort, how do you justify earning from others effort. But it is one of the best way to make money, by the way in MLM it is the product and services that people earn from not just giving out money, if I refer you to a shop and you buy a product, the shopkeeper rewards me for my effort, here have I taken money from you, no I just earn from my effort for refering you to that particular shop. There are other programs where people just exchange money for nothing these are scam where you get to pay somebody. But MLM in you buy real products.

Well, I didn't say that it was a bad way to earn money, but I don't see it good for me since I hate the referral system in MLM. Don't feel offended. If you think that it is the best way earning money, especially with the advantages you have mentioned before, you should stick with it. But from my point of view, the prospect of getting rich from MLM is too dreamy. I don't want to dream too much since I have to get some real money :)
