His oratory is brilliant few can deny that fact however, will he and can he live up to all he has been trumped up to be ?.In his speeches he has promised relief for the poor through reduced taxation and revamped social services but how practical are his plans and will he have a free hand to implement the socialist policies ?. These are question I am asking against the background of current financial crisis which will obviously require capital injection from the government in the form of a bailout package.Irrespective of the nature of this bailout package ,it is certainly going to be enormous and may hinder Obama's socialist schemes. In addition these bailout packages come at a time when unemployment levels are high, companies are downsizing ,debt levels huge ,the Iraq war and other Us Interventions are costing billions to finance and in general recessionary conditions are being faced .This may make it hard for Obama to justify more spending. So are we to assume that these may be just sugar coated rhetoric to get him elected and then comes the sugar coated excuses ?.Or is it that Barrack in all his wisdom and eloquence obliviuos to the true nature of the Us economy and the intricacies involved in running the country?.Or will he be a populist leader so intent on executing his socialist programs he plunges his country in further recession ? Finally is it possible that Barrack will just be a puppet for an inner core of advisors and wealthy supporters of his campaign. In that case all he will be doing is rubberstamping their programs?. Whatever your views are on this issue - these are no doubt intersteing times for America dont you agree ?
