I've often wondered if lotteries are rigged. I don't play a lot, but I have to admit that my never-ending poverty sometimes convinces me to buy a lottery ticket. I like to dream -- what can I say? Do you think the lottery is rigged? What gets you to buy those tickets?

No, I don't think they are rigged. They are set up to make the local governments money, but there is a winner. As long as you realize the odds are terribly against you, there's no reason not to play. I'm not one to buy a ticket to every lottery either, but I'm just like you in that I like to dream of winning the lottery and changing my life forever. Maybe one day we'll get lucky, but in the meantime I guess we've got to work on becoming wealthy the old-fashioned way!

In America I don't think most of them are. It would be hard to get away with. Even if someone intially got away with it, usually they would get found out. The odds of winning are so very small. I know someone has to win it, but I wouldn't waste my money. Every cent counts for me, and I'd rather not spend my money on wishes, lol. But to everyone each their own.
