I have seen last night in Betty la Fea how they made an advertisement about the maggie mix and it said that the price of onion and garlic are higher and that the character should just use maggie mi, says it is made up of the complete ingredients for saute like onions, garlic etc. Well I am fond of cooking and using natural ingredients, in fact if I can find one I still uses fresh tamarind for sinigang. I still use onion and garlic for my dishes, a lot now uses tomato sauce or paste but me I still use tomatoes, fresh tomatoes. Even on kare kare, I use peanut butter not the kare kare mix available on the market. How about you guys? Do you still use onion and garlic? Is it still included on your grocery list?

I still use garlic and onion. It is better to use natural ingredients. But I have dried using Ginisa mix or Maggie mix but I have heard an issue that it causes cancer. Which I do not know if its true or not. In order to be careful and make sure, I spend time cutting garlic and onions eventhough onions makes me cry..haha. But I think it is fine to use Ginisa or Maggie mix once in a while.

It is a must for me to always have garlic and onions in the kitchen. I use also maggi magic sarap but on seldom basis. In sauteing I use natural garlic and onions because the taste is still at its best.

For my cooking, I always use garlic and onion. It seems to be a must in my cooking at all times. That is the only way I know how to cook.

I am not a big fan of artificial flavoring. I must admit that these flavorings save time and they really make the food taste good. When I was young my father does not allow any artificial flavoring to be added on our food. Up to now, we still carry on that tradition. We always use natural ingredients on the food we cook.

Onion and garlic are always on my mom's grocery list.. hehe ^_^ She will always use them for cooking, and that it's really fragrant.. I like garlic as compared to onion, because i eat them.. I only like the smell of onion but i seldom eat them.. haha =D PLus, garlic is crispy when being fried, and they goes well with almost all kinds of dishes.. ONce there's either garlic or onion in the dishes, there isn't a need for other seasoning at all ^_^ hehe

Of course my dear. I'm using only natural ingredients for my food. Even if they will say those are natural mix, I can't trust them. I go for the traditional way of using garlic and onion. Even it those are costly I will still use them. I don't even know how they prepared those maggie mix. I can't exchange the natural onion and garlic with that maggie mix no matter what sales talk they will use. Like you, I am also using the fresh tamarind for my sinigang, if not I use guava or santol or green mangoes and my sinigang tastes greater that way. Like you too, I also don't use kare-kare mix. I am using peanuts that I grind myelf and also peanut butter and grinded rice. I love the natural way all the time. I don't use instant mix...never! I can't be lazy when it comes to preparing the best and healtiest food for my family.

yeah, of course pehpot. Garlic and Onion is very important in cooking, like most specially if your using oil. If i'm the one who is assigned to do the marketing then i don't go home without onion and garlic. I mean to say, i never missed those ingredients because garlic and onion adds taste on the food we prepared. Well speaking of Kare-Kare..one of my favorite viand. I also prepared this kind of food since i'm craving for peanut butter too much.

I still use the regular garlic and onion... since i love the smell of these two everytime i cook... aside for that... i try not use those that have monosodium glutamate... since i know that ingredient is not very good for the body... I have my supply of maggie mix... but i rarely use them... since i prefer to just cook the old fashion way...

At home I still do include garlic and onions in my list. I still believe in the power of the extracts of onions and garlics for flavoring. I find it yummier eating them. I like chopping or mincing them.

My mom still buys onions and garlic. I come from a Filipino Chinese family and we believe that the more natural the ingredients are, the healthier the food is. We do use broth cubes and other stuff like MSG but only on minimal amount. We still rely on onions and garlic.

Yes I still use natural ingredients except the tamarind (sampalok). I continuously used this because it's more healthy and the nutrients are still intact. The commercialized product such us this has more preservatives and it doesn't really taste good compared to the real garlic and onions. Yummy!!!! ^^,
