The next US President: Obama or McCain?

Hi everyone, I am a Filipino, but quite interested to know your views about the upcoming election in the US. I do not have exact ideas about the platform of Obama and McCain, but I have watched some videos of their campaign. I will not ask you who do you want to win, or who you voted for. But having known the campaign that passed, I would like to get some honest opinion. I must also remind you that this discussion is not about politics, this is about how the campaign convinced the voters. Who do you think will win, Obama or McCain? Why? Thanks!

Personally, I want Obama. I am not familiar with his platform because all politicians are the same, but I am more curious on how his presidency will change history. I am glad that he is leading now. There is something to look forward to his leadership.

well, actually Obama is now the next president of the US, I was sure that he was going to win because, for that I read on internet and other sources it seen he was getting a lot of fans, I don't like him for some issues about my country but anyway I can't vote and I am not an American and I don't live in united states, it was funny when a girl that I have chatted a few times on msn came and just told me that she have voted for Obama, I asked her what do she like about him and it took her like 10 minutes to answer, and she told me it was basically for Iraq war, he want US out of there and for abortion, because he is not against it, also she told me she thinks Mccain would be bush part 2.

I think the Obama campaign did a better job of informing voters about issues and his plans for those issues. His website also was well produced and informative. His attitude toward the issues and his thought process and presentation was better received than McCain's. John McCain had trouble getting away from the shadow of George Bush. He used his POW history as a reason to vote for him. He also used the policies of the Bush administration as his although he said he was breaking away as a "maverick" but he really had nothing new to show in his platform. He also may have hurt himself by picking Sara Palin, the Alaska Governor as his running mate. I think he thought (especially woman) would like her since so many wanted Hillary Clinton. But since Palin was not well known and had no real experience some people thought it was a bad choice. Some of her statements at rallies did nothing but irritate and attack Obama on everything, yet she made no real logical reason why McCain should be President. Also McCain's age could have been a turn off. I think Obama will win. I remember John Kennedy and Obama seems to have a similar charizma and ability to talk to people.

Though the result is already out, but still i must say, ever since obama won the nomination over hillary clinton, i have been supporting him always, and wanting him to win the election ^_^ For i see him as a humble guy, but with serious attitude towards his work.. HE does not just speak, but he prove it with his actions too.. Thus i believe, with him as president, the world will be very much at peace as compared to the time when George Bush was around.. haha

Obama, Obama. I think Obama will win. It's only a guess as I am not an avid follower of the political developments in the states. I just wish that they would be voting for the right president. God bless America!

I am a Flipino. I like change and I hate traditional politicians to lead the country. I opt for the new elect US President Obama. Not only he is an african-american, But I like his platform of change in his speeches.

I think there is more chance for Obama than Mccain.

Ask us tonight, It's to close to call right now. People do strange things in the voting booth. Of course you know that the change in Government doesn't take place until after the new year.
