This is a rather long page, but it has some very interesting information about Obama and McCain, related to women.
Please take time to read it carefully, especially if you are a woman, and especially if you haven't voted yet.
Please read it all.
This is written by a woman who is a life long Democrat and Feminist.

To vote for anyone based on gender is just bad politics. That makes no sense to me at all. I can't think of one woman I would vote for based soley on the fact that she is a woman.
I am glad that Ms. Long has done so many things! Now we know why McCain chose the unknown Palin! Ms. Long asked him to. Oh, and she coined the phrase "latchkey kids." My, my! She didn't invent the internet, did she? lol
I think if she really had any respect for Hillary Clinton, she would be listening to her now. Although I admire Hillary, and voted for her in the Primary, I made my own decision as to who I wanted as my next President. Fortunately, Ms. Clinton is backing him now.

I'm thinking y'all didn't really read this! You missed my point completely!
I'm a woman, and I'm NOT a feminist -- in part because of the reasons she pointed out where feminists have gone so far astray and don't allow a woman to have a 'choice' that is different from what they choose.
I'm not at all suggesting anyone should vote based on gender -- or race.
I AM pointing out what she says about her attempt to meet with Obama vs her attempt to meet with McCain. McCain met with the group himself and Obama's team ridiculed them.
I AM pointing out what is already known -- or should be -- that Obama talks the talk but does NOT walk the walk. He does NOT pay his women staff members equal pay even tho that is part of his campaign platform.
He refused to make the same promise McCain has made about including more women in government -- that's a legitimate issue.
Obama has his OWN AGENDA -- and it does NOT seem to include what we the people really want, or need. Just like the video that came out from the SF Chronicle the DAY BEFORE THE ELECTION, showing that Obama said he would essentially BANKRUPT an entire industry -- an industry that right now provides about 50% of our total power for electric. AND in that video he also states how he will decrease consumer consumption of power by INCREASING THE UTILITY COSTS ON CONSUMERS!!!! On his website, this was listed as a big part of his energy plan, but it made it sound like it would be VOLUNTARY; in the video we see that is not true!
Her point -- and mine -- is that Obama cares little for his constituents, and his treatment of Hillary during the Primary (EVEN if you disregard charges of fraud and thuggery), and his treatment of her supporters after the primary are further evidence of how little his actions match his words.

This election should not be about gender or race. I find it very telling that Lynette Long continues to refer to herself as a "Hillary Clinton Supporter" when her actions say otherwise...she is a feminist first and foremost...and her interests are gender based. A woman, any woman, is her choice and she makes it clear in several pieces on her website that her main problem with Barack Obama and the Democrats is that they didn't put a woman on the ticket. She cries about the Democrats disrespecting Clinton yet follows her to south Florida to urge women to disregard what Hillary Clinton is saying today.

Their problems with Barack Obama: a light record of achievement, connections to questionable people and breaking his promise to use public campaign financing. But what they say women should not forget is that he and his supporters treated Hillary Clinton disrespectfully and dishonestly, and that women should consider voting for the only major-party ticket with a female candidate.

I read only the first part by Lynette Long and she certainly was very factual in her salient points. It is just a shame that they are are all true.

That's quite a read, and it goes into great detail about how a nomination can be bought and the process can be manipulated.
The part where 0bama used a sealed divorce file to embarrass his Republican opponent
is quite revealing as to 0bama's complete lack of character.
The author makes several very good points, and shows that 0bama is not who people think.

This is a load of rubbish! You should vote for a candidate based on policies not on gender.
She is advocating voting for mccain because of palin and alleging irregularities in the counting as discrimination against hilary clinton - utter rubbish.
It just shows how extreme the views of feminists are - the discrimination throughout western society is against men not women. It is nonsense to say women are massively in the majority - 52% to 48% - and hence they should be nice to the minority - men rather than trying to take advantage.
The reason there are less women in government is because the women themselves choose not to participate to the same extent as men. Women are less willing to put in the long hours and make the family sacrifices. it is self choice not discrimination. Women are less likely to vote than men so it should be men that the candidates talk to but unfortunately they ignore men and only offer messages to women.
Vote for whoever offers the best policies for the country as a whole, not just for the female 52%.
