My dear friend's ........ I'm not telling you any imaginary story...... but rather a hard truth....... Scientists have declared that Ice at north pole would melt in 4 years ...... due to which most countries of the world would be submerged into water Peace go through a small report by scientists in the link below and see for your self .... http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2008/06/080620-north-pole.html Are you prepared for any such ice melt? Do you think/believe this is going to happen? Thanks Ganesh

I believe anything could happen as I think we have stuffed this world up so much we really have a lot to answer for, I feel so much for those beautiful polar bears and others creatures that will have nothing...

ohhh yes human being is infact playing with the nature which is causing all this . Yes not only polar bears and creatures living at poles would do but also most of the human beings since if ice at poles does melt it will raise the sea level to submerge whole portion of the earth . Thanks for your response and such a nice information... Happy Mylotting Take Care Ganesh

It is not clear whether this is a problem or not. Ice is less dense than water and hence floats mostly out of the water. Have you noticed that when the ice in your drink melts the level is lower in your glass. Hence if all the ice floating at the north pole melts the sea levels around the world will go down! However it is ice on antartic and Greenland that matters more as this run off into the sea is likely to put up sea levels. However water warming from 0 to 4 degrees gets heavier as it is denser than water from 4 degrees up so again as trhe sea warms from 0 to 4 the sea level will go down, after that it will expand so all in all it is not clear what will happen. But it has all happened before and this is merely the latest cycle in this planet's history. I think we should worry about things closer to home like pollution and the exhaustion of the fossil fuels and in particular - over-population We need to reduce the population that is far more serious and all credit to China for tackling that one - come on western governments stop bribing mothers to have more children!

Hello, well, i live in mountain, i wish the sea will not reach me too ;) Anyway this disaster is something we have made with our own hands. Or better i should say our "landlords" made. Nobody cared about the nature, due the "industrialization" (and the earnings related to that) was so important for our grow. Why do you guess free energy are not developed yet? And why electrics engines are in the same "state of the art" they were in the beginning of the past century? Now the nature is getting her revenge, when we will learn how to respect our planet, maybe things will go better ;) See you
