Is it okay to use the link to your blog/website in your signature on mylot?

While starting or answering a discussion here on mylot, is it possible to put the link to your blog/website at the end of the discussion under your name? Or is that considered as spamming?

In the Guidelines in the 'don'ts' it says: (Don't) Post any links promoting other affiliate programs or that do not pertain to the discussion. Posting the same link over and over or posting links that have no relevance to the discussion is not allowed. Therefore posting a link in a signature which would be recurring would be a violation and cause for deletion.

Yes, the only time I have used my blog link or story links is when I have used it for a post that asked for such things, or when it is in topic and it would be helpful to the person asking for my information. My site is about writing and so there are a few places I can use my link here in MyLot, but be careful. Mylot has FAQ's and tutorials that can help guide you over what links are acceptable and where.

The only links allowed in discussion posts are ones relating to the topic, and they must not be referral or affiliate links. Some discussions about blogging ask for links, otherwise it is not necessary to include the link in your posts, as you have it on your profile, if anyone wants to visit. I get many visitors to my blogs from myLot, but I never post the links in discussions. If I am discussing my blogs I add that links to them can be found on my profile, but I only do this when it is relevant to the discussion topic. You would be spamming if you added the same link to all your posts.
