Do you ever wake up and immediatly know it's going to be a bad day?

Well I felt that way this morning, I just knew it was going to be a bad day, because it started off horribly. I usually see that as a bad omen that the entire day is going to be bad. First off, I woke up at about 4:30 in the morning. The baby woke up and wanted a bottle. Not a bad thing... it's usual in this house. Normally I'd get him a bottle and go back to sleep. But this morning I couldn't go back to sleep. Why? Because every light in my house was on.. which meant the other kids were up already! I went downstairs and there are my twins trying to make their breakfast. It appears they'd already been up for awhile because I could see they'd been playing with our computers. So I told them it wasn't time for them to get up yet, and sent them back to bed. So I went back up to get back in bed and stepped on something in the bedroom and hurt my foot. This ended up waking hubby, and I was all sorts of stressed out. I was still planning on trying to go back to sleep, but one of the cats came in the room and started howling. Hubby got up to shoo the cat from the room, but then the baby saw daddy was up and thought it was playtime. Then hubby got stressed because he knew he couldn't go back to sleep. He ended up taking his stress out on me which led us to argue most of the morning. We did end up making up just before it was time for him to leave, and being up so early gave me the chance to go vote first thing this morning so I didn't have to worry about it later. So I just had a barrage of bad things happen this morning, and I have a feeling that I will be grumpy later due to being awake so early this morning. I probably won't have a chance to nap since my toddler doesn't nap anymore. Hopefully my day will get better, but the first thing I thought this morning when all this started happening was "Boy, today is going to be a bad day!"

My morning has not started off that great even, sounds like you were having a tough time this morning. First of all I wrestled all night with the covers, my husband trying to take them all, then I had to go to the bathroom about three this morning. I went back to bed, fell asleep, rolled over and realized that my husband was not there. I could hear the TV on in the living room. I finally gathered my blankets, and the cat decided to throw up a hairball, I didn't know where he was, so I reached for the light before I got up, did not want to step in that. I looked at the clock and it was six thirty, I called my mother to find out if she had voted yet, she said it is just five thirty, I had looked at a clock that was not changed. So we decided to go vote at six fourty five. The polls were not that bad, we were numbers 208 and 209. Finally, arrived home and it is a bill collector, I let the phone ring, but they did not leave a message. One hour later the phone rings again, I figured I should answer it, because they would wind up calling me all day. I tell the man that I know the bill is due, but I do not have any money at the time, and he says, well can you just pay $XXX.XX, I had to repeat, I DO NOT HAVE ANY MONEY AT THE TIME, as soon as I do I will take care of it. The sun is trying to come, out, hope the rest of my day will be sunny. Have a good day, and try not to stress.

It's got to be something going around today, maybe because it's election day, I don't know but I have been up since 1 am. My 3 1/2 month old woke at 1, went back to sleep at 2. my 2 year old woke at 2 and back to sleep at 2:30. I tried to go back to bed, as soon as I fell back to sleep at around 3, she woke again. I was almost back to sleep at 4:30, my fiances alarm went off. I was again almost back to sleep, he came in to say goodbye around 6. Of coarse, almost back to sleep and my 2 year old woke again around 7. 7:30 my stepsons alarm went off, then the baby woke again. I'm just not allowed to sleep in my house any more. Both my girls are sick so of course they both want mommy and don't want to nap. It's a conspiracy, I know it is. I'm exhausted and I still have to wait until he gets home from work, late today, to go vote, which means no nap for me today. BAD DAY!!!

I have had days like that. Of course as babies they really can't help it, but I remember just before my youngest was born, my toddler still wasn't sleeping through the night. I'd get so aggravated when he woke up in the night because I just knew he'd still be doing it once the baby was born, and I'd never get any sleep. Luckily he did start sleeping through the night just before the baby was born, like within the same week! Now the baby is 9 months old and still not sleeping all night. Sometimes I get lucky and he will, but most nights he wakes up at least once.

That's exactly what happened to us. My 2 year old only got up because she's sick. Usually, she sleeps all night. The baby still gets up atleast once a night but almost always goes right back to sleep after a bottle.

Wow it sounds like a bad day for you. Luckily I am past all the getting up in the night for bottles, my little girl does occasionally wake up but nothing like she used to, touch wood. I am thankful for that because she was REALLY bad for not sleeping. I do have days though where I wake up feeling that it is not a good day and I hate that I just want to stay in bed all day when I feel like that. I hope that your day got better as it went along!

I definitely think that you will have a good day today from now onwards. And I don't believe that I will have bad days when I wake up straightaway. Even if I feel that way and I will just go on thinking that this means I will have a good day definitely because if we think that it is going to be bad we will make it even worse. Have a good day.

Yeah...somehow. Actually it's not that I "know" or "feel" that there are bad things that would happen to me. The bad feeling (waking up at the wrong side of the bed) makes you have a bad day. The day is started not right so definitely you wouldn't have a good day. The heavy feeling due to restlessness and not being able to get enough rest of sleep will actually make you feel the a lot of things are just not right. You will react on simple short comings of others, you would complain about anything that just don't seem to right for you. "They say that if you start the day right all will end right." But of course I am not saying that we have to be superman or superwoman that wouldn't feel emotions when something really feels wrong to us right? We are only humans that only want to express our feelings. I guess, when you start the day with a prayer whatever comes up, you'll be to handle it fairly...happy mylotting!
