Can anyone tell me which anti virus is the best at the moment I have been using Norton, but I feel that it is slowing my machine a lot and I am noticing the difference in speed. Some friends have recommended Kaspersky, is there anyone using this and if so how are they finding it?

Bitdefender 2009, its much better and realiable. I go for Mcafee Total Protection 2008 and AVG 8 Internet Security also. I have tested the anti-virus software and it works fine and can be depend at any time. One important thing in anti-virus software is to keep it updated at all time because that's how a anti-virus is very useful. Th anti-virus that I mention are also capable of detecting spy wares. So try this because I can guarantee you that this a reliable anti virus.

I love norton for an antivirus program but it is also a memory/system resource hog. I am now however using McAfee and have had no problems with a system slow down. by the way everyone has there own favorite Anti-Virus program and will think they are the best, they are all about the same. find the one with the user interface that you like and stick with it and keep it updated with the virus definition files

Norton sucks and is useless. I am using Kaspersky Internet Security right now and I definitely recommend it, its one of the top anti-viruses in the market right now

ESET Smart Security. The upgraded version of NOD32. This anti-virus is very helpful, at least for me. ^__^
