Pound cake and politics...

Hello everybody! I just HAD to show everyone a picture of this pound cake my mother-in-law made. She said "Let's have a little election party tonight! I will make a red, white and blue pound cake!" Well, anyway, it did NOT turn out red, white and blue AT ALL!! Instead it looks like a big round turd!! LOL On top of that, she decided to make some kind of glaze to put on it, made from confectioner's sugar. Instead, it made the cake look moldy! As my mother-in-law and I were laughing our butts off at the results of the cake, I said, "Hey! This reminds me of the state of our economy! It stinks and is so stale it's gone moldy!" So I decided to decorate it with "Our Economy" and made a simple little sign that reads "Worth less than a "pound" of CRAP!" While my mother-in-law, my daughter, and I were rolling on the kitchen floor inpain from so much laughter, I picked myself up and decided to take a picture of our little economic masterpiece and email it to all my friends and post it here for everyone to see. In a few minutes we are going to cut the cake. Supposedly, my mother-in-law says that she "swirled" the red and blue batter (which is probably why the cake turned out brownish-green), but perhaps the cake really does have some red and blue swirls inside. We have decided to make a prediction: On that first slice of cake, if it has more "red" than "blue" then we predict a McCain victory. If it has more "blue" than "red" then we predict an Obama victory. And if it's brownish-green inside?... Then that means the election along with the economy is in the crapper!!! We will let you know what happens. Enjoy!!!

Hello, that's a funny story, and very creative too! I hope your mother-in-law's cake tastes better than it looks! Bon appetite!
