there a lots of choices for the Laptop category. for me i've been using HP Laptop for a couple of years now. but if money is really not a problem why not go for the latest models. i prefer the New Macbook Pro 15inch with the latest 2.8Ghz Intel Processor for the unremarkable speed and performance and combined with 4GB of DDR3 Memory for Video Editing purpose and for those Gamers who like intense gaming experience with built-in videocard for battery life of 5 hours and also a Videocard of 512GB for real time Video Editing and Gaming use. Not to forget the Most important thing about Laptop is the Battery Life. Expect the life cycle of battery is only a year and lots of brand runs only at 2 hours. So in terms of portability Go for the New Apple Macbook Pro 15inch 2.8Ghz Intel Processor and 5 hours of wireless activity.

I'd like to buy Macbook too, it looks really nice, the outlook and the performance. But I'm using Microsoft Development tools for work, where Apple is not a choice for me. :(

Are you sure Microsoft Development tool won't works in Macbook Pro. come to think of its performance and the portability of what a laptop should have.., in terms of Operating System issue just like yours. Boot Camp is one feature that MacBook Pro is i think would benefits for your side. Boot Camp supports the most popular 32-bit releases of Windows XP and Windows Vista, Windows Application will also run at a native speed and has access to multi core processor, 3D Graphics application and high speed connection to your USB, Firewire devices, WiFi and Ethernet. Important key point is the portability of having up to 5 hours of computer use. and the compact yet all the important feature most user needed in everyday application.

DELL. i have tried SAMSUNG for twice, terrible qulity but the style is fashion, and so SONY is. IBM has been a great brand since it was purchased by Lenovo, I am not sure is it still as good as before. My samsung has been repaired soooo many times! I've decided to buy DELL next time.

For me it would be a Dell. I would prefer you get the Studio Systems or the new Inspiron Mini9. Just add a little bit of cash to be covered by complete care accidental damage if let's say your portable was dropped or was spilled by a liquid.

I do not know which is the best brand for laptops. I'm currently using the office laptop, which is IBM ThinkPad. I've been using it for 2 years, and so far it works fine, and it didn't give me problem at all. As for the appearance, it's not really stylish. All the models I've been using look about the same. :p I'm considering buying one for my personal use too. I'm thinking of Dell, Toshiba and Fujitsu. These are the brands I think are quite reliable.

i think dell is best for any purpose including business, besides it has one of best customer support services, i tried sony and acer. Sony is more for style and brand and both Acer and Sony have really hard touchpad. i think anybody would suggest Dell for business purpose, hope that help you out. happylotting.

If the price is not important to you buy DELL laptops. I had a laptop from DELL for 5 years with 3 year warranty and didn't have problem with it. I didn't need t use the warranty. Now i got 1 year warranty for my new laptop. Customer service is 24/7 and don't need to send ur laptop to repair it for you they will send you a new one.

I am not sure what the best laptop brand would be today because I have never been one into laptops but me and my fiance bought a laptop from a friend of ours who is now an ex friend several months ago,and it is an IBM is it a pretty good laptop and we are hoping to get another laptop for Christmas so we can both use laptops and be able to do mylot and other sites from the comfort of out bedroom, and my mom said that if they get us a laptop it will be a Dell because they seem to make the best computers.

Hey, I think that the best laptop brand would have to be HP or Apple. I am talking about the build quality of them. So either Apple or HP provide great build quality.
