Sarah Palin is a Joke

I'm a great feminist supporter but sorry to say that Palin is a joke. Many reasons i considered before saying it for sure that she's a joke. She always say the wrong things. And she seems to know nothing about politics. And I think the Republicans made a huge mistake to pick Palin as the Vice President contender. The huge shopping spree that she and she made is the biggest crack she made for herself. Right after saying they are regular middle class people, then suddenly we hear she spends $150,000, a month!!!! Just for shopping at luxury shopping centers. So if she's just a middle class, ordinary citizens...where did she get all those $150,000 in a month just for shopping...hmmm...you do the conclusions.

As you must know, Governor Palin and her family were whisked away from Alaska quite quickly. They needed clothes. I, for one, donated to the Republican National Committee and I am not at all offended that she purchased clothing with my donations. As you must also know, not all of the clothes were worn. When you're rich or famous or influential, they let you take things and try them on at home (or in a hotel) and take back what you can't wear or don't need. What was worn will be donated. So what's the problem? I remember watching Obama's speech at the Democratic Convention and wondering why no one realized that he had on a $4,000 suit. That's certainly not what Joe Average would wear. Anyway, I'm sincerely hoping that Governor Palin will run for President in 4 or 8 years and I will definitely help with the campaign and vote for her. She's what we need in Washington. She would help actually change things.

Another pinoy that thinks he knows what is going on in this country. You have your story so completely wrong that it's not even worth untangling. Hide the rest of your face in shame.

I can't be bitter over a person who can't even come up with an original comment but has to copy and twist my own words. You say you know what is going on, yet the very things you say are wrong. You speak in hyperbole like it is fact. "She always say the wrong things." "..she seems to know nothing about politics." You have your facts all wrong. "..she spends $150,000, a month!!!!" She did not spend that much money, The RNC did, It was a one time purchase, not a monthly one, and 1/3rd of it was returned right away because they had to purchase more than was needed, The rest was donated to charity. One of Hillary Clinton's pantsuits cost $6500.00. That does not include shoes and jewelry. $150,000 wouldn't clothe Katie Couric for a week. So, if your sole purpose is to criticize, You have done a good job. But then, it doesn't take a lot of intelligence to criticize, does it? Read some facts. http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/24/palin-denies-accepting-designer-clothes/ And when you look at the real numbers McCain lost on his own. Not because of Palin.

Another American that thinks he knows everything that's going on about his country. You don't know the real story of your government and that's why you're bitter about people like me who knows better about your country than you do. Just like in your profile picture, bury your ignorance on the earth's surface...bury your face in shame

It's too bad you're yet another ignorant person who has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. This woman who you say knows nothing about politics beat the incumbent republican governor of Alaska as well as a former democratic governor to get elected. She managed the state excellently producing a massive budget surplus and using it to help the citizens of her state deal with high gas prices. Maybe you should study her a bit more before making such foolish statements. As for the supposed shopping spree, maybe you should read about it from a qualified source instead of DailyKOS or wherever else you get your news. She didn't go on a shopping spree. Those clothes were given to her by the RNC for the campaign and are being donated to charity. Oh well, clearly you're not the type who's interested in facts. It's so much easier to bash someone by making up garbage.

She lost because the media painted Obama as the messiah while painting her as an uneducated redneck. Most Americans are too lazy and/or too stupid to do any research and learn about their candidates, even when there are only four people left to research. I thoroughly researched EVERY candidate on the ballot including the ones that even I hadn't heard of prior to receiving my sample ballot like Gloria La Riva. Prior to receiving the complete list I'd already researched all the major third party candidates like Baldwin, Barr, McKinney, and Nader. Of those four most Americans could only name Nader.

Task, you must think you are the messiah since everyone else that doesn't agree with you is either ignorant, stupid, has no idea what they are talking about, foolish, lazy (thats just a few that I picked out of your last couple of post on this thread alone)etc. Why can't we just have a different opinion than you and you respect that without having to call people things.

Please please I'm sorry if I'm not as knowledgeable as you about Sarah Palin. That's why I don't know details about her governance in Alaska and about her shopping expenses and in depth info about her personally. And I'm very sorry your VP lost in the election. But this is one thing I'm sure, she's not the better candidate and The American people have spoken. That's why she lost because she's not worth it of the VP. Sorry

Outsider? Are we not all living on the same planet? And does America not affect the whole planet? I am positive that America has a major affect on my country!

If there were good politicians then the world would be a better place to live in don't you think? What one person sees as a good politician another person may not. In my opinion there are no good people in government, i'm referring to the one's with power!

Well I don't think that the 150k was from her own pocket, and I actually think that the only reason the party had to spend 150k on her wardrobe is because she probally spends the majority of her time in the woods hunting and didn't have anything in her wardrobe to fit the occasion. The real reason that she is a joke is because politically she is about as dumb as a rock!

Dumb as a rock eh? How many incumbents did you beat to become governor of your state? How many budget surpluses have you produced? How high are your approval ratings?

Yeah, that's the way to unite the country....But Bush is the divider right?

Task Americans have spoke. I heard all of the stats, and was quite impressed until she opened her mouth, and then they meant nothing to me. I didn't beat any incumbents, approval rating is probally only high amoung my family, friends and employee's. But I wasn't running for VP of the United States either.

And what's makes it so funny is the fact that republicans actually thought that Palin was an awesome choice!! I guess they got their tushies handed to them on that one!! She is a fake! And how would someone from Alaska be a good VP? McCain must've went to sleep when his campaign decided on her (which he does a lot since he's so old...)

So now you're just saying that NOBODY from Alaska has the right to run for office? Now that may be the dumbest thing said, in a thread full of stupid and uneducated comments. God forbid the governor of the largest state in our country be nominated for VP. God forbid we actually consider a woman who's produced a budget surplus in her state and been the most popular governor in the nation. I guess we should just write off Alaska as a state with no rights. Are there any other states or people who don't deserve the rights you enjoy?

tamarrairs, Are you aware that Sarah Palin got more votes running for governor of the 5th least populated state in the country, than Joe Biden got running for President in the primaries? Didn't think so.... I'll bet she actually knows that JOBS has more than three letters in it too. Oh yeah, Ya'll picked a couple of real winners.

She definitely got people talking. If that is what politicians were aiming for, that is what they got. Like her or not, she has made for plenty of discussions and parodies since she was picked at McCain's VP choice. She is supposed to be getting groomed for 2012...by gosh golly darn we can all hardly wait! (sarcasm)

What a shame that the party I was proud to be a member of has changed from being open to the thoughts and ideas of all has become one that is close-minded. What happened to the party where principles meant something?

I'm sorry that the party that you are pertaining became something that you really expected. But lets just hope that for the country's sake, and let's hope that he will be true to his words and will make all the red states and blue states...become "purple" and uniting the country as one.

i think mccain picked her because he figured people wanted a huge change in this presidency.. if they went with obama he would be the first black president.. if hillary had been running it would have been the 1st female.. so i think he thought he would have the first female vice president (i dont think there has been one before but im horrible with history so correct me if im wrong) and i think that he was also thinking appeal in looks.. every one went on about how hot obama was (i dont see it but whatever) and well.. mccain.. isnt.. but palin i think is cute so i think he was hoping to get the cute vote in that area.. but this is just me guessing.. i dont really know crap..

She's probably the best example of politicians being only human. I can't believe she even made it as far as she did. I really hope she does not continue, because you're right, she really is a joke. I think they really put her out there like that to distract us from the plummeting economy. Great job!

I never really liked her myself. She's too vain, among other things. I couldn't help but ROFL when she complained (through her PR woman) that her face hasn't been retouched in the magazine cover and whined that Obama enjoyed that luxury instead of her. LOL As if it's a big thing.
