Tomorrow is our Peer Review

My boss is so flipping out about this. Yes, it's a big deal, it's part of being able to be CPA's. But, it's not like we do anything wrong... For those of you who don't know about this, I'll give you the Readers Digest version. I'm a CPA in a very small firm - there's 2 CPA's (me and the boss), a receptionist and just recently a part-time person who's studying to be a CPA. Since we perform audits on a couple companies, we are required by the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) to undergo a peer review by another CPA firm. Basically, they come in and make sure we're doing everything right - not just the audits, but EVERYTHING. We have to go through this every few years. Well, my boss freaks out about it. Unfortunately, he's very into the "get it done now and worry about policy later" kinda mentalitly. I like to make sure it's ALL done correctly the first time so I don't have to go back and redo it. So, today we spent all kinds of time going back and rechecking work we'd already done to make sure it'll pass review tomorrow. I know it will because I make sure it's all done before I call it "Final". I'm so glad this will only take a few hours in the morning because my boss will be spazzing the whole time. We have nothing to worry about, but I guess that's his job - to worry about it! Wish us luck!
