Are there any guesses on how long he will remain in office? From what I have seen and read,if he lasts more than a month,I think it will be strange. The U.S.is very well known to shoot presidents they don't like, and as most of the votes he will get are from immigrants and his fellow blacks, that a month maybe to long a time. but that is my guess, anyone else?

You're certainly not very informed, are you? Obama HAS won...he is the new President elect of a country that is NOT well known for shooting presidents so don't lose any sleep worrying about his safety. Your opinion that only immigrants and black Americans voted for his is seriously flawed but believe whatever you like.

Yes hye has,and if you will take note, this question was asked before the ballots were cast. Now,we will see if he can keep his word. Thank you for your comments.

You had maybe better hope nobody reports this post to the authorities, because it sounds very much like an exhortation to assassinate Obama to me. Lash

Thank you for your answer and warning, but I do not have any wish for him to be killed,I am asking a question about the possibility as this does happen. and on another note, what happened to free speech?Lets see if he will return it to the people.

If that happens then it would be the saddest day not only for the americans but for the world. If Obama wins, it is very historical. It's a sign that people have shed their bigotry and are now more than willing to embrace new ideals and thoughts.

Yes,I guess I am cynical,I have seen and heard to many polititions making promises they either can not or will not nor ever intended to keep, and I do not just mean in the U.S. No matter what laws are made to force people to not hate a race or religion,it will not work. there are far to many things a person sees every day that causes hatred. Thank you for your comment

I wish you were right, yes it is historical,as for people shedding their bigatry and hatred, but please don't bank on it. Thank you for your comment.

That is a very cynical view. The fact that Obama won means that people are already starting to set aside their bigotry. If one can't hope, then what should one do? I rather look at things positively and keep on hoping.

most of the votes he will get are from immigrants and his fellow blacks, Really? You mean like the cubans? Oh no they vote republican cannot be them, hmm so you think there are more immigrants in America than people born there? Wow that is amazing. I doubt you will find any stats that back that up. Not at all sure what you mean by immigrants since anyone who is not an Native born American Indian is an immigrant and the whole country did not vote for him. Hmm I suppose its true that blacks were not voluntary immigrants since most of them were taken to America as slaves. Who knows how long he will last, but I would hope he lasts longer than a month.

I wish to apologize,I forgot to place the word Terrorist after the immigrant,I do know that what you say is true, even in Canada,we must say the same. I know it may sound differant from my wording, but I am not prejuduce against the blacks,I have some good freinds that are black. thank you for your comment.

Not well informed are you? Barack Obama is the President Elect. America does not actually have a history of shooting its presidents. There really have been only a few presidents in it's history who have been assinated. Immigrants cannot vote in elections unless they are naturalized citizens of the US. Far more than Blacks and naturalized citizens voted for President Elect Obama, believe me it was a cross cultural, cross ethnic voting block. I suspect that Barack Obama will serve out his first term without incident. If he lives up to his promise, he might even have a second term. Who knows.

Actually, this discussion was placed before the voting took place,so Yes,I do know he is president elect. compaired with most "democratic" countries, the U.S. has had more Presidents assasinated than any other, unfortunatly, they were the better ones. And I do hope you are right, and he will live up to his promises and become a good if not great politition.

You obviously live under a rock! Not what you have seen or heard but I wouldn't put a lot of weight into, since it had to be garbage, like the trash you speak! Just for INFO 101, our president is not chosen by popular vote, silly! So where you get this crap about most of the votes coming from immigrants and fellow blacks is ludacris! And I would check the facts on presidents of the US being shot too! The fact that you are dumb enough to put such in print should be evident enough that your elevator stops a few floors short of the top floor! May God Bless You!

Isn't that what the secret service is for? I find it odd that you compare a statement from Rodney King to Presidential Elect Obama.

My goodness - aren't we all a bit touchy? The secret service will be a wall around the new president elect. And for the record - bigitory is still alive and well here in America. We'll probably be seeing more of it unfold in the days and months ahead. Remember the statement from some years back:"Can't we all just get along?" What an idea!

My statement had nothing to do with our new president to be. I was merely using Rodney King's statement as a reminder that we all DO need to make a greater effort to get along. Is that not true?

wowwww... you are very brave in making a comment like this publicly about a president... obama has already won the elections and i will advice you to be more careful in what you are saying because you can go to jail if somebody reports you... sounds to me that you are being very racist here and your guessing might be wrong... take care and have a nice day...

Thank you for your concern, but at least here in Canada,we still have freedom of speech.I am not racist against the black race at all,I have some very good friends of mine are black,After reading in the papers about the organization that had plans on killing him,I know there must be more somwere there,so that was the reason for my discussion. I actually hope he can keep his word, and become a very good President. Thank you for your comment.

all president up until now haven,t did crab so give the man a chance to try to live up to what he says this country is and a bad way it,s not going to straight out over night it will take time fix all these problems and then some may can,t be fixed.i don,t think in the begining no one doubted that bush couldn,t do the job they just knew he could but when things started to go wrong they ready to get rid of bush.and the one after him he is no different just his skin color most people have a problem with.

Thank you for your answer. and so much for free speech. Yes,he did win,and now we will just have to wait and see if he will keep his promises. I am not advocating his demise,I am just stating from the past, that Black people do not fair well when trying to change the way people think.

I think that he will complete his term in office. He was elected by popular vote (as of midnight) as well as the electoral vote. Already, two eggheads got caught planning of murdering students of a black school and culminating in assassinating Obama. I hope this would serve as a sign to all the skinheads, neo-nazis, and white supremists, that such action would be such a shock that a back lash against all such organizations would drive them out of existance.

The capture of these people were the main reason for my question,If there are organized groups like this in the U.S.,and only one was captured before they could commit the crime, what make people think there are not others like them? I unfortunatly can not vision the world to be like we would like it to be,there is and always will be hatred between races, while mine is not against the Negro race,I do have my failings. thank you for your comment

I admit that therse are those groups out there, that they are just beside themselves over Mr. Obama's election. But I hope that with the arrest of those two idiots, the other groups will really think twice before acting. On tonight's broadcast, NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams said that this election is when America matured as a nation. Let us hope so.

Yes,I guess it does sound that way,but to be honest,I am racist against some, but NOT the Black race,I actually hope obama will live up to his word and become a great President. But knowing that racizm will never be wiped out,I asked this question to get people to think, unfortunatley,I am not that great at putting into print, what I am actually thinking. i think he will remain two sessions.he is a good president, but he is not the great as lincoln ,i think he is good in his position.he wont make disappointion to the americans.even i am a chinese.but i believe his ability to do the president's Size business.well he is black man ,and he will stand the side of black man ,there is little of racial discrimination........

Racial discrimination is a fact of life, while many hope to change this,it is going to take hundreds of years before it will become a reality. I am not,as many think, racist against Negro races,I am just not so sure it is time for the U.S. to have a black as President, but if he can keep his words on what he wishes to do for the country and it's people, great. As for his "being" a great President, only time will tell. Thank you for your comment.

"The U.S.is very well known to shoot presidents they don't like, WTF? we dont LIKE? are you implying that we all got together and decided to just get rid of them? JFK was well LOVED!...Lincoln may not have been liked by the confederates but the Union LOVED him. and like someone else has already said, but bears repeating. Immigrants can NOT vote..only citizens can. other than the native americans every one of us are Citizens from Immigrant families. the Secret Service already caught 2 white supremist idiots who had been planning. this election has brought up some long standing issues for the american ppl...racial issues. and sure there will be those that are very upset, possibly enough to make such a stupid attempt. but i sincerely hope not. he will fulfill his full term. and if he does a good job (like i think he will) then he will surely be elected for a second term of service. let us all hope that he does what he promises and we all WANT him for a second term! we need to come together for our country. not keep pushing everybody further apart.

beleave it or not,I hope you are right. yes, basically, only the good have been shot, but you must admit,so far,any black that tries to get ahead, does not normally live long. As many people wish and in some cases even prey for an end to racial hatereds,it will not come to pass for a very long time. unfortunatly, when I spoke of the immigrants,I forgot to add, that it is the terrorist type I meant. I do hope he can keep his promises, but as a politition,it is highly unlikely. Thank you for your comment

A little history lesson. People who have shot US Presidents are generally suffer from mental disorders such as Hinhley or Squeaqy. Our secret service is excellent Nothing will be happening to Obama

A little more history. When Booth shot Lincoln, that was political,Motive as far as I know has never been found for sure about the killing of J.F.K. And yes, there are many radicalls around that are mentally disturbed, and when you figure how many people there are in The U.S.,there are a great many that have Political, religious,Racial, and other "mental" reasons to commit vertually any crime. And as for the secret service, yea, their pretty good, but I don't think Kennady would agree. Thank you for your comment.
