Common Law relationship is also known as Live in partner. It's accepted in the U.S. but here in the Conservative world of Philippines they don't accept it. I had a partner for 2 years living to together when I got pregnant. Boyfriend for almost 5 years. Were planning to get married but I don't see the effort with him. I'm excited because I just want to live the rest of my life with him. I hope that time will come that every woman's dream to walk in the aisle.

Well dear...Philippines aint that conservative anymore. A lot of teen pregnancy and couples choosing to live in for a while before getting married. It's not easy to annul a wedding so you better be sure that you really want to get married to your boyfriend. By how you say it...it seems like he's not yet ready to tie the knot with you.

In the U.S., it is pretty common. I live with my boyfriend. Some people you can tell that they have a problem with it, but I don't see a problem with it. We are planning to get married in the future and we are happy just like we are.

In America for the most part it's accepted but older generation's and preacher's believe that a couple should not live together without first getting married. For the most part it's because of intimacy, but other then that I am not sure.
