For those who condemn the new President as being anti life..Please take note of the other two candidates on the other side..Both of whom allow for Abortions under certain circumstances: Life is Life and Murder is Murder: McCain Allows Abortion for Rape! http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/does_mccain_want_to_ban_all_abortions.html Nevertheless, McCain campaign spokesman Brian Rogers objects to the ad. His quibble is with a single word – "all." McCain does not in fact oppose all abortions. He would allow abortions in cases where pregnancies resulted from rape or incest, or pregnancies that threaten the life of the mother. Sarah Palin: allows abortion if: http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Sarah_Palin_Abortion.htm The candidates were pressed on their stances on abortion and were even asked what they would do if their own daughters were raped and became pregnant. Palin said she would support abortion only if the mother's life was in danger. When it came to her daughter, she said, "I would choose life." Knowles, responding to the scenario involving his daughter, said he would counsel her and talk to her, but it would be her decision. "I would love her and support her no matter what decision she made," he said

I can't be judgmental of any of them. I can only go by my own personal conviction. Whether I consider it a sin or not, it is not my place to dictate the will of others. Mentioning the case of the mother's life being in danger it reminded me of an HBO special that was on years ago called Time Flies When You're Alive. It's about a mother who chose her child over her own life.

The way I was taught..that the mother should rather give her life then sacrifice that of her child .. I try not to judge either but when they carry the banner of prolife and then condemn our new President of not respecting life; I need to state facts.. They all need some repentance in this area..not just one of them.

I agree. I can't judge any of them on this issue. While I am against using abortion as a form of birth control, I also feel it is not my place to dictate the will of others. I also feel that it is not anyone's place to dictate a very personal decision that should be made between the woman and her god. To me, any other argument against abortion is one of exercising control over another person.

hi little franciscan! i am pro life and anti abortion. but given these choices, i really don't have a choice between the two. for me, righteousness is important for a leader. i am not really sure who to choose between the two. i used to root and believe in obama, but when it comes to moral issues like that, i have doubts. well he won. i don't know anymore what is the best. take care and God bless America!

I think most people thought that McCain would be able to appoint judges to the Supreme Court that would over turn Roe vs. Wade. But, I'm really glad that Obama is going to possibly have the chance to appoint the judges.
