Phase 1 of the new democratic agenda: Eliminate Lieberman

So now as part of their takeover it's time for them to go after those who chose to think for themselves rather than "fall in line" as has been the motto for the democrats this election. Lieberman is number one on the list. I'm betting that by January Joe the Plumber will be arrested on trumped up charges and next will be Barbara Waters for asking Joe Biden tough questions. (CNN) — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will likely meet later this week with Joe Lieberman to discuss whether the Democrat-turned-Independent will be stripped of his Senate committee chairmanship, a senior Democratic leadership aide tells CNN. Lieberman currently chairs the Senate's Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/11/05/reid-lieberman-to-meet-this-week/

Isn't there always a change of committee chairs when a new administration comes in? I'm not trying to be difficult; I really want to know.

No the new President has nothing to do with committee chairmanships. The only time committee chairmanships change hands is when the majority in the Senate changes. I hope that helps.

Certainly. I didn't say president, though. I said administration. Okay, so again, not to be difficult, but can you provide me with a legitimate link to this information? Thanks in advance.

With a Democratic president, Democratic Congress and Democratic House of Representatives, I am sure that those who don't "fit in" will soon be ousted.

Yes, Lieberman has outlived his usefulness now that they have expanded their majority and control the presidency. They'll be pushing the far left agenda and have no room for moderates anymore.

I have to question just how non-partisan anything will be!

What happen to Zel Miller is going to happen to Joe Lieberman. Just like the Mafia once a Democrat always a Democrat. If you have been elected as a Democrat and you leave the party for what ever reason do not think for a minute about coming back. Joe was useful to Harry Reid just because of a number. In 2006 there was 49 Democrats, 2 independents siding with the Democrats, and then 49 Republicans. If Harry Reid had not played nice with Joe there would have been 49 Democrat with one independent against 49 Republican with one independent, a tie. Now the Democrats have enough vote even with out Joe so Harry does not care about the fate of Joe.
