I always tell my kids that all I want is for them to be happy and I'm very serious about that. I hate to see them spend their money on me...especially my daughters who both have kids. My son is planning a big wedding for next October that he and his g/f are paying so they need to be saving not spending right now. Really, I don't need or want anything and if I did my husband would get it for me. What do you want for Christmas? Do you think you will get it? Have you told anyone yet?

There are plenty of things I would want for Christmas, but I am not holding my breath. Unless there really is a Santa Clause out there I won't be getting them.

I wanted a gps for my car and I got it. I don;t like getting too much "stuff", so if people ask I tell them i want t gift certificate to a restaurant or movie theater.

I don't want anything this year except to have my family together and enjoying each others company! We just moved into a new (OLD) house and I am just loving it. We can use a few things around here, but I'm just marveling in the character and beauty of this place right now. I'm also looking forward to my grandson's second Christmas. He will be old enough to really enjoy himself this year! I can't wait to see his smiling face! Happy holidays to you and your family!

I want your discussion notifications back! I haven't been getting yours for months. I thought you had quit mylot for a while. You are the fifth mylot friend I've discovered that I'm not receiving their notifications. My parents always tell me not to spend money on them. Of course I do anyway. I don't think I coud enjoy the holiday without getting them something I know they will like and enjoy. They asked me what I wanted, but I couldn't think of much. Since I've had to make so many sacrifices with what I have, I have gotten used to going without. But I did tell them I wouldn't mind having a particular television show on DVD. It is about 25 dollars. I don't care what they give me because I'll like it just because it is from them.

A watch would be wonderful given that mine is busted and when I substitute teach, I have to go outdoors for recess and their is no clock outdoors. So deciding when to go inside means I have to borrow watches from people or bug other teachers for the time.

Hi ctry...well, I guess since I lost my job a week ago I'd have to say that's what I want for Christmas. What a nice surprise it would be and certainly a miracle if it happened. I'm quite nervous and stressed out right now. Have I told anyone yet?, haha. Just about everyone and I'm hoping their good thoughts will send one my way. You take care and Merry Christmas to you...Bobbie

I am not looking forward to Christmas this year. It will be the first Christmas without my father, who passed away in March. I will have my mother at my home and 3 of my 4 children. I really do not NEED anything and I always tell my children not to spend money on me...but they do anyway. I'm sure that as we try to celebrate and have a good time, on the backs of all our minds will be my father.

my hubby and i dont have a lot of extra money right at the moment so i have told him not to buy me anything for christmas. there is nothing that i need and we cant afford much. unfortunately, my parents EXPECT gifts and have sometimes even hinted that what we got them wasnt suitable. they are more happy with quantity than quality (so one gift wouldnt do) so that is a major pain.

My kids are going to spend the christmas with their father, since we are divorced. My self have to work the hole weekend. So I was kind of looking forward of spending the evenings on my own, celebrate with fod and god christmas carols on TV. But when My mother asked me of the weekend and I said what I had in mind, she turned back on me and now, after my work are finished they will pick me up and I guess I spend christmas as I always do with my mum and dad, sisters and their familys. I guess, I have to consider the family tradition. Howeve, I really like the idea of spending christmas alon.

My son will be born Dec 10 via c-section. What I want for Christmas is pretty simple. I want for my family to be happy and healthy. It would also be nice to have a quick recovery. That way we can ring in the new year with no worries.

I have not made no list for christmas, I mean things have been hard the last couple of months worrying about whether hubby will have a job or not, he has had his hours cut so we are getting less money. So I guess all I would want is for him to still have a job and to hope that we can manage on the less money we have coming in! As long as the kids get their wishes I am not really bothered about myself.

For me all I want is a sweet and unforgettable memory for Christmas. I dont want cash for it just fades away when you spend it. But unforgettable memories last a lifetime as long as you dont have memory problems. It is a thing which money can't buy. In life money is not everything at all. Money is only a tool. Probably the best tool but remember, it's only a tool.
