How do you quit?

I've been job-hopping for a couple of months and I was wondering how other people quit their jobs. Normally I just stop showing up and ignore their calls(its terrible I know) but the jobs I've had were pretty terrible. I never tell off my boss or complain before I quit, I just leave. How do you do it?

I haven't quit too many jobs, but I always gave a notice. One was a two week notice, the other a 10 day notice. But today is a little different. I am unemployed right now. I'm looking for anything. But if I do get a job that is either part time or just dosn't pay the bills, but better than nothing, and I get a call from a company that is full time or justr a "real job," I will try to give a notice, but if I can't I'll leave. But i don't think I would quit by just not showing up.
