Uh Oh. I was posting a discussion and when I was taken to the page to submit the tags, I realized that I had spelled a word wrong in the title. I hit the back button to fix it and I didn't think that it would be published twice but it is. Will I get in trouble by mylot for this?

I think you can get one deleted if you contact mylot admin. If even you cannot delete one of the discussion I don't think users here will post on both so it shouldn't cause too much of a problem I wouldn't have thought. Have often seen users publish the same discussion have seen the exact same discussion three or more times in some cases.

I really don't think you will, if it is not something that you are always doing... I know that it is against the myLot rules to double post an discussion twice.. If in doubt, just contact myLot about this and see what they say... Just let them know that you accidentally posted the same discussion twice.. I am sure that they will understand.. This has happened to me as well. Plus, I have seen many users on this sire do it too. Most of the time, it is just an accident... No fault of yours.. You should be okay..

Sometimes because of connection problems we have our discussion posted twice.Even sometimes when i respond to discussion and the connection gets disconnected and comes back.I get my response twice. You won't get in trouble for this.If there was a delete option we could have deleted our posts.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! What have you DONE!??!? JK -- It happens every now and then. Someone might report it and it might get deleted, btu you won't get into any trouble. They won't delete your membership or anything. You might lose a few cents or whatever you earned from the discussion IF they delete it... That's about it.

That happened to me once. Except it was a response to a Discussion not a brand new Discussion. I had spelled a word wrong and hit the back button just like you did. I had NO idea that it would post twice. So I just responded to the one with the misspelled word and said that this one needed to be deleted and that I had just made an honest mistake. I have no idea if it ever got deleted or not. But I did not get into any trouble that I know of. :) I left a response under the incorrect post because I do not know how to contact the myLot Administration directly. Maybe I should go re-read the FAQ's. :) Because I am still not sure how to do that. :) I am sure that it is probably the best way to do things instead of responding under the response that you want deleted. *LOL* Anyway, it has probably happened to all of us at least once. :) It is at least a good reminder to make SURE that you have spelled everything correctly and that you have said everything that you wanted to say exactly the way that you wanted to say it! Because now we know that hitting the back button to try to edit a post = the post being posted twice! But, at least we know now! :) So now we can be extra sure that everything is completely correct before hitting the "Submit" button! :) So, please try not to worry about it too much! :) Happy myLotting to you! :)

I hope not. But if you did...you may just contact the administration. Send them an email and explain your side.
