One thing in a relationship that you would consider to be a deal breaker...

What i mean is that a person will put up with a lot. What is one thing that you have faced or think that IF you faced in your relationship (marriage or boyfriend/girlfriend relationship) that you thing would just make you put an end to it and not look back?

A deal breaker for me is a liar. There is nothing worse. I don't have the time nor the patience to figure out if I'm being told the truth or if it's lies. I've ended many relationships over the years because of lies. More now then ever. As I'm getting older I have less tolerance for it. When you get caught lying, own it and aoplogize. Just thinking about people I've caught lying to me irks me. There is no need for it in any relationship. It's insulting and hurtful. If you feel the need to lie in your relationships then you need to end them. If you have any value in you relationships you wouldn't feel the need to lie. "It's easier to remember the truth than lies" Being honest requires no thinking it comes naturally.

True... because you'd be wondering if what comes out of their mouth is a lie or not... however for me it has got to be betrayal - cheating. If my husband were i'd be more pissed off than anything because why keep me tied to you if you obviously don't care about me... lies are a form of deception... cheating is a form of deception all tied together in the end.

I have a couple of these. But the main thing is physical abusiveness. A person that will hit usually doesn't change. I'd be gone. lying and cheating would be it for me too.
