"Welcome Back American Dream"

I put quotes on the heading here because it is a line from an email sent over night by an Italian woman to the American head of a news bureau in Europe.
It seems to me that fear has been blocking out the American dream since 911. But last night that fear just seemed to evaporate in the warm Chicago night.
I don't know about everybody else but I can think of no better way to express what I feel today than to quote that Italian lady: "Welcome Back American Dream!"

I couldn't agree more. It's going to take time but we have the ability and the drive to return to the great country we once were...we just needed someone with direction and the power to affect change.

Thanks for helping me think of the right words to express my own feelings! I saw your post in another discussion about the disgusting tags added here. I had one like that one of mine, too. I wish I knew who was doing it, but I guess it wouldn't matter, right?
