What's the breed of the puppy? We had a difficult time to name our puppy when we first got her too, as mine is a yellow Labrador, finally we named her "Labby". I've read that it's good to give a name which is short and easy to call, so that the dog can recognize his own name. Nice. A lot of great names for puppies. I would suggest so post the picture here so we can pitch in. My dog's name is ino-san. Japanese calls dogs "inu" and I love Naruto and there is a character there named Ino Yamanaka. So, I named her Ino-san. Hope to see those pictures!

do you have a picture you can put up? what kind of puppy - what color? sometimes these are used in deciding a name. Or it's personality. I try to clear my mind and think of nothing and then just stare at and talk to puppy and see if something pops into your head. Many of my animals have "spoken" to me this way and suggest their own name. and those that have done so have always come when I call them right away. because it is a name they liked.. I know that sounds crazy but it is really true. i have cats that have been given names I would have never thought of -but they just popped in my head and the cat liked it.. lol

My husband has a big german shephard dog. He named her Gretta.
