There are many factors to it. Firstly, Obama decision to make 'Change' as the theme of his campaign is the perfect choice which came at a perfect time, as Americans are looking for change. There are so many problems going on in the US which needed that mentality of producing a big change, to have them resolved. Secondly, Obama himself is an excellent person to have as president. He communicates excellently. In the debate, he kept his cool and proceeded with what he was moving towards, whereas McCain was starting to make comments which were irrelevant. McCain has so many similarities to Bush, in terms of his ideas, and people do not want that. They wanted change, and that's what Obama offers to the American people. All his promises make sense to the people, and it was obvious that people need to vote for him if they want a better future. I think Obama's win is not just good for the US, it's a good result for the world. A lot of people are celebrating, even in my country.
