Doctor Appointment

For the first time in my four years here in the United States, I will be finally having my annual check up . I looked for a doctor who is affiliated with my health insurance. So I called up the doctor's office and scheduled for a check up. I can't believe that the date given to me will be more than 2 months from now (January 9, 2009 2:20 pm). If you will be given that appointment date, will you wait ? Or will you just go to another doctor and ask for another schedule? Or is it really like that when it comes for annual check ups? Thanks guys. Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
