What would Martin Luther King Jr. think about new President(-elect) Obama?

Now this is a REAL first. I KNEW that new President-elect Barack Obama would win, and it seems that America's written a new chapter in the history books now that we have the very first African-American President. Simply put, if Martin Luther King Jr. was still alive today, he would be more than proud. He'd be in tears, perhaps because his dream was fulfilled. After going through slavery, segregation, civil rights and a whole lot of racial issues, African-Americans feel a sort of victory that one of their own has won the highly-important job of President of the United States of America. Trust me, i'm an African-American myself, and somehow, I feel proud to be one with this electoral victory, and history is more than made. If Martin Luther King Jr. was alive, what would he say about Obama?

I think Martin Luther King Jr. would be proud, but I also think he'd be saying to Obama, "All right you're the President of the United States. Now what are you going to do with it? What are you going to teach others, that the government brought you to this lofty position or that you won it through your own hard work?"

This is great news in the history of the world, first am a kenya and very proud that this is the land where US President elect traces his roots somewhere in a remote village in Kenya, you cannot believe it. Many lessons to learn of this election and particularly for African leaders who even sharing power is aproblem leave a lone conceding defeat. It happened here in Kenya last year when the current president coluded with the electoral commision to steal elections, this is a lesson to them loud and clear. For the Americans I know some are still not in belief that Obama has been elected the president and would even deny Obama being their president, Martin Luther(Jr) so it coming but we did not know when it was to come but now we know that it has come on this day 4/11/08. If Martin Luther was alive probably he would have said that this is the beggining.
