Now technology has advanced a lot.A new storage media called holographic memory is going to be introduced.Here the storage media is a holographic plate.It can be made into any shape.Here the data is stored as layers one above the other.The storage process is done by allowing the laser beam to fall at a particular angle on the disc.If the data is to be encoded in another layer the laser is allowed to fall at a different angle.The encoded data can be retrieved in the same way as it is encoded.But this has not been commercialised yet.Researches are going on.I don't think there are any other storage gadgets which can store more than 1 TB of data.If you know any such gadgets post replies to this discussion
